In The Land Of The Rising Dragon (Vietnam) Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Vietnam.
Vietnam is one of the most fascinating countries in South East Asia and it contains a large number of cultural treasures as well as much remarkable scenery. Due to its exceptional buildings of both past and present, as well as its magnificent natural scenery, Vietnam surprises everyone that travels to this region of Asia.. Vietnam’s former capital of Thang Long, that means ‘Rising Dragon’, is now known as Hanoi. Like all cities in South East Asia, Hanoi has an increasing traffic problem but to compensate for this it also contains several parks. Early in the morning a number of Tai Chi enthusiasts are to be found within a park that surrounds the Hoan Kiem Lake in the centre of the city. The picturesque lake and park are the green lungs of Hanoi and are a relaxing contrast to the lively atmosphere of the city and its three million inhabitants. According to ancient records the imperial area of Hué once consisted of one hundred and thirty six buildings. The rapid rise of what had once been a rather unimportant town to a new and magnificent imperial city has always been indelibly associated with Vietnam’s Nguyen royal family who were to influence the country for several centuries. Both architecturally and culturally Hoi An has been influenced by two countries, China and Japan. The influence of the Chinese is clearly visible even today and they bequeathed a large number of magnificent buildings such as temples and meeting halls. On the western shores of the Saigon River is Ho Chi Minh City, the former capital of Saigon. This, the largest and most populated city in Vietnam, has around six million inhabitants a fact well substantiated by the exceptionally busy streets of this southern metropolis. Vietnam’s people are both amicable and extremely hospitable and now it is surely time that they deserve to see their Land Of The Rising Dragon enjoy a further epoch of peace and prosperity.

Vietnam - Land of the Dragon
My girlfriend and I spent nearly three weeks in Vietnam over September and October 2015. It is an amazing place and very diverse in its landscapes and cultures. We started out in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) before moving to Phú Quốc island in the South then flying up to the capital Hanoi and Cát Bà island in the NorthWe then caught a bus down the East Coast to Hue and past Da Nang to Hội An on the way back to Ho Chi Minh.

Vietnam Travel Guide: Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ho Chi Minh
Gorgeous beaches, fascinating and complicated history, incredible food, lush nature; Vietnam is a country that truly has it all. Whether this country is first or fiftieth on your list, our travel guide has all the information you need to know if you’re planning (or dreaming of planning!) a trip to Vietnam.
Leave your expectations behind if you’re heading to Vietnam: here, you’ll eat noodles for breakfast, do your shopping in the middle of the night, and discover a country with a new story around every corner.
Hanoi more than delivers on urban excitement. If you’re looking for unique and mouth-watering food, the night markets of the Vietnamese capital should be your very first stop. You can enjoy a zippy ride on a scooter, all the street-food you can eat, and a night exploring the rapid development of this modern city. From trendy clubs to traditional puppet shows, experience a nightlife that’s all Vietnam’s own, and eat and drink the night away with locals and visitors alike!
Of course, Vietnam isn’t all fast-paced cities and rooftop bars. For a slower pace, head to Ha Long Bay and sail alongside limestone islets, with their lush rainforests towering above your head. The water is emerald-green, matching the vibrant greenery, and a sailing excursion here is like nothing else you’ve experienced before! A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the islets of Ha Long Bay are said have been thrown into the bay by a dragon protecting the people of Vietnam. Take a junk boat tour for a close encounter, or try scuba diving or snorkelling in the bay!
You’ll find a new adventure around every corner in Vietnam. From breakfast in the Bình Tây Market and a secret tunnel system in Ho Chi Minh City, to sailing along the Mekong Delta in a traditional basket boat, you can find your perfect trip - no matter what that looks like - somewhere in Vietnam.
There’s no time like the present to start planning an adventure of your own in this majestic country, so why not start today? Head over to TourRadar to explore the range of tours available, or watch more of our videos exploring Vietnam if you still haven’t gotten enough of seeing the beautiful views and incredible adventures you could be having.

Halong Bay Luxury Cruise | Signature Cruise
This Halong Bay Luxury Cruise was made possible by:
If you’ve never been to Halong Bay, you need to add taking a luxury cruise through Halong Bay to your bucket list! Halong Bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site for a good reason. It is one of the most beautiful places we have ever seen! It’s filled with giant lime stone karsts that jut out of the water in every direction for miles.
The best way to experience the bay is by a luxury cruise. There are tons of cruise ship operators offering cruises through Halong Bay. The cruises range from cheap backpack boats to five start luxury cruise ships. Since visiting Halong Bay is most likely a once in a lifetime experience, we decided to splurge on a 5 star luxury cruise to ensure that we had the best experience possible!
We booked our cruise with Signature Cruise and we were elated with our experience. Seriously, we don’t have a bad thing to say about Signature Cruises, and that should mean a lot coming from me because when I splurge on an experience I am very critical. Also, the staff treated us like royalty! They made our experience even better.
Our luxurious cruise through Halong Bay started with an amazing lunch served while we were cruising to a floating fishing village. After arriving at the floating village we were rowed around the village in a row boat by one of the women who lived in the floating village. After our row boat ride was completed, we visited a pearl farm to learn how pearls are made. To be completely honest, this sounded kind of lame to me when I read it on the itinerary, but it was actually really interesting!
After leaving the pearl farm, we were taken back to the cruise ship. After an hour or so of relaxing and taking in the beautiful views of Halong Bay, we had a cooking class where we learned to make fresh spring rolls. After the cooking class we enjoyed happy hour with more beautiful views. After happy hour, a delicious five course dinner was served aboard the boat. After dinner I had the opportunity to try my hand at squid fishing. I got really lucky and managed to catch 10!

Some 1,600 islands, thick with greenery, form a maze of channels in the azure waters off northeastern Vietnam. Although people have lived in the region of Ha Long Bay for thousands of years, most of the islands remain uninhabited. But these coves and natural towers are rich with wildlife. For centuries, this spectacular seascape has inspired wonder.
The name Ha Long, Vietnamese for “descending dragon,” is reflected in a legend: Once, when the Viet people faced invasion, a dragon flew down from heaven to their defense. The creature sprayed not only fire, but also jewels that became the green archipelago.
The scientific explanation for the rock formations, known as karst, is also amazing. For millions of years, seashells and sediments fell to an ancient seafloor, forming solid rock. Tectonic activity raised the resulting limestone above water. Rainfall and rivers dissolved exposed rock, and carved valleys that flooded after the last ice age, creating this rare example of a karst field at sea.
Features include lakes and caves through the islands, and notches and tunnels where seawater has worn at the pillars' foundations. The fantastic landscape also continues into two adjacent national parks, on Cat Ba Island and Bai Tu Long Bay.
You can go kayaking, caving, or even take a ride in a seaplane to experience the grandeur of these enchanting tropical islands.

HALONG BAY TOUR | Day Trip Cruise from Hanoi 2019
Day 32- Took a Halong bay 1 day tour cruise from Hanoi, Vietnam. We booked a 1 day trip with Dragon King Cruises and it was an amazing experience. The cruise we booked was among one of the cheapest and highest rated for the experience.
We found it at a travel agency in Hanoi and it fit all of our needs and budget. We were able to go from Hanoi to Halong Bay and experience a lot of what Halong Bay had to offer for only 35$, in my opinion that is a steal because Ha Long Bay is on of the most beautiful places in the world.
We did many activities in the tour among some of my favorites which were kayaking an underwater cave, exploring sung sot cave, and hiking titop island for some amazing views atop a mountain. Overall really great experience and one of my favorite days in Vietnam.

Ascending Dragon | Hanoi, Vietnam | Travel Diary
They call it the land of the ascending dragon. Honestly, Hanoi was amazingly very lively and Halong Bay was no doubt beautiful!
I've to say this was a quick edit and a terrible one really haha! But it's just for fun. I don't usually use any lenses for recording, so forgive me for the messy unorganised mixed video. xx
Can't wait for more adventures to come!

Water Puppet Show, Hanoi - Vietnam 4K Travel Channel
The Water Puppet Show in Hanoi is something special because one finds water puppet theaters only in Vietnam. The operators of the dolls which move these over 3 to 4 m long bars are hidden behind a bamboo curtain. The puppets move above a water surface, the bars are hidden in the water. About wire rope hoist one can move an individual doll or more dolls simultaneously. Artistic movements are performed, sometimes really acrobatic.
Popular scenes originate from the country life or deal with Vietnamese legends. The legend of the town foundation of Hanoi included. A special sword was handed over by the gods to king Le Loi, with which he drove the Chinese from Vietnam . During a boat trip on the Hoan-Kiem lake, a golden turtle stole the sword to give it back to the gods. The scenes are embellished with firework, smoke and coloured illumination . In addition, mythical creatures and fire spitting dragon must not be missing .
In Hanoi there are two such theaters. We visit the ROI Nước Bông Sen at the junction of Hang Trong and Le Thai To. At the end of the presentation we realize that 9 operators are all the time in the waist-deep water. A small orchestra accompanies the performance and the members give each dolls her voice.
We also learn that the actors are students who want to preserve the Vietnamese cultural heritage.
We enjoyed this unusual experience very much.
Another water puppet theater can be found in Ho Chi Minh City.

Hanoi - The City For Peace | Beautiful Vietnam | Flycam 4K
➥ Description:
2019 marks the 20th anniversary of Hanoi being recognized as a ‘City for Peace’ by UNESCO. In 1999 Hanoi was the only Asia Pacific country granted this title by UNESCO.
Since early this year, the city authorities have carried out numerous activities to mark the occasion, including major cultural events involving many countries worldwide. A highlight of these was the Open Hanoi Dragon Boat Racing Festival 2019 earlier this month, attracting many foreign athletes.
We’ve taken a series of solutions to make Hanoi cleaner and greener. The city has also issued two codes of conduct for Hanoi city dwellers to preserve and promote their beautiful manners, said Hanoi Mayor Nguyen Duc Chung.
Hanoi currently maintains friendly cooperation with more than 100 capitals and cities worldwide. The city has proved to be a global responsible member with its rising prestige at many important international forums.
Hanoi’s celebrations of its 20th anniversary of receiving the title “City for Peace” coincides with the 2nd DPRK-US summit, scheduled for this Wednesday and Thursday. The summit is considered a great opportunity for Hanoi to promote its image to the world as an active city rich in history that favors peace. Preparations for the upcoming summit are almost completed, according to Mayor Nguyen Duc Chung.
A huge workload in preparations for the summit has almost been completed. Decorations for all routes connecting Noi Bai airport with the city center, major roads, and hotels in downtown Hanoi have been finished. This includes 4,000 welcoming gates, 500,000 vases of flowers and 4,000 poles displaying flags of Vietnam, the US, and the DPRK, said Chung.
The historic Trump-Kim summit in Hanoi is expected to create a remarkable breakthrough for peace negotiations on the Korean peninsula.
