HALONG BAY Tour in VIETNAM (Hanoi Attractions)
Ha Long Bay Tour in Vietnam is one of the best when we think about Hanoi attractions,. Especially if you are with your family this tour is a must, when you visit Vietnam. It a bit more touristic for sure, in my opinion Palawan Island of Philippines is much better for island hoppings and peaceful beaches. However Ha Long Bay has also something special. It takes 3 hours bus trip from Hanoi to arrive Ha Long Bay, you may join a day tour or you may join 2-3 days Ha Long Bay tours with cruise and accomodation.
We joined to a day tour and visited a few famous spot, did kayaking and visited a huge natural cave.

TRI-CITY TOUR Episode 01: HANOI VIETNAM
Three countries on our third year anniversary. Here is the first episode of our Tri-City Tour!
Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum-Hanoi, Vietnam (With Tour Guide History Lesson)
It was eerie to see the dead body of Ho Chi Minh lying in state after 45 years. There wasn't much light inside and there were guards everywhere so any chance of sneaking some video of the body went out the window. My guide eloquently explains the life and death of Ho Chi Minh, former Prime Minister and President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam (North Vietnam).

EPIC CHEAP HALONG BAY CRUISE TOUR (Lan Ha Bay - Catba) - Vietnam Travel Guide

HANOI NIGHT LIFE - Travelers Need to Know This:
ARRIVING IN VIETNAM! Noi Bai Airport to Hanoi Travel Guide --
WHY BOROBUDUR IS SO EXPENSIVE - Vlog Using Redmi Note 5 Camera --
I bought this tour in Le Pont Bungalow Hostel, you can easily find these kind of tour and other type of tour sold in the place you're staying or in many tour agents in Catba Town. I stayed in Catba for 3 nights. Stayed in Le Pont Bungalow Hostel for the first day, and then move to Catba Central Backpackers Hostel because I wanted to try different places.
Maybe it's something to consider: This tour started at 8:30 am and ended at about 4 pm, so it was closer to 6 hours and even a bit more instead of 4 hour which is what people usually seem to experienced if they started a full day Halong Bay tour from Hanoi and back in the same day.
I guess that's the advantage if you just go to Catba or Halong and do the tour while staying there for 2 nights (with the bus schedule I'm not sure if you can stay there just for 1 night, at least in Catba, I couldn't find any night bus going to and from Catba. Not sure about Halong)

TRAVEL TIP: How to take the Train in Vietnam (SLEEPER CABIN EDITION)
// ABOUT //
Transportation in Vietnam is back to the basics. Car rentals are a no-go for travelers, leaving you with three options: fly, train or bus. Finding the necessary information to make the right decision on which train ticket to by in Vietnam can be very daunting!
Travel tips:
✔ BOOK ONLINE TICKETS OR AT THE TRAIN STATION! Other companies that appear first in your Google search are double the cost as they are third party travel companies adding a ton of commissions and fees.
✔ BOOK AT LEAST A FEW DAYS IN ADVANCED! The train fills up quickly and if you're travelling with a partner you may not get to sit together if you leave booking until the last minute.
✔ BOOK THE BOTTOM BEDS! This way you won't have to constantly be climbing up to your top bunk beds. You also get access to the small table and better window visibility to sightsee.
✔ BOOK THE SLEEPER CABIN BED OR SOFT SEAT? This is a decision you will have to make on your own. We've outlined the pros and cons of both options in this episode and the second edition version.
✔ PACK FOOD! Most of food carts do not come by the sleeper cabins so you're left with a ton of packaged junk food. The meals you can purchase on the train are cheap but not great quality. For the same price you could grab a healthy and delicious meal from the market before getting on the train.
✔ PACK HAND SANITIZER AND A FACE MASK! The washrooms are unbearable with mess and smell. Also, if you're trying not to get sick the mask will help.

Motorcycle Touring Central Vietnam - Day 1, Hue To Khe Sanh
Can you count how many times I say Wow & Awesome in this video?
In May 2017, I was lucky enough to be able to visit Vietnam and tour by motorcycle with Bikes & Drones, who I had gotten to know through this whole YouTube thing.
After an afternoon of getting used to riding in the craziness that is Vietnamese traffic (see previous 2 uploads), the following day we set off into the hills for the first of two 3 day tours. This first day took us west from Hue into the hills and then north along the Ho Chi Minh Road into more mountainous and truly spectacular countryside. Absolute motorcycling heaven! First stop was the famous Khe Sanh Combat Base from the war.
This is the 3rd video in a series of motorcycling videos where I spent a week riding around the absolutely stunning mountains and seaside areas of Central Vietnam on a Honda XR125, which was made available to me by Bikes & Drones. I cannot thank him enough for the awesome experience.
Then it was back to Ho Chi Minh City for more adventures before flying home.

About Us!
If you had told me a year ago that we were going to sell all of our stuff to start backpacking the world, I would have called you a liar. Decisions like the one we made start with an inflection point. A point where you realize that life can never be the same anymore. After a challenging, and painful year in 2017, we decided we needed to go out and live the life we wanted to live, instead of watching it on someone else’s YouTube Channel. We had given everything we had, physically and emotionally, for other’s dreams and were ready to work that hard for ourselves. From rock bottom, Chase for Adventure was born.
The Chase Begins
We moved in with our parents, sold everything we own including our cars, and paid off $70,000 worth of debt. We worked 70hrs/week over the last year trying to save up $15,000 to make our dreams come true. Now, we are travel journalists who showcase the beauty in different cultures and inspire others to chase their dreams through our YouTube Channel and website Chase for Adventure. We want to show others that if they want something bad enough, they’ll figure out how to get it; show people who are struggling that they can make the light at the end of their tunnel. Chase for Adventure is more than just a travel vlog and blog; it’s the chronicles of what it’s like to have a dream and do whatever it takes to attain it.
Hanoi, Vietnam | Navigating the Old Quarter! | South East Asia Vlog E38
-HANOI VLOG-
Today we flew from Vientiane to Hanoi, Vietnam on Laos airlines - the flight time was less than 1 hour! If you need a taxi from the airport to town, I highly recommend using Uber as it cost us half the price of a taxi.
Once we arrived in Hanoi we checked into our guesthouse (Hanoi Zesty Hotel) and went for a wander around the old quarter...it's crazy!! Soo much traffic, there's no such thing as pedestrian crossings - you just have to walk out on the road and pray that nothing hits you! The best strategy is to start walking and keep at the same pace - that way the traffic can judge your steps and avoid you. It sounds crazy but somehow it works!
After dinner we stopped in for coffee at the Note Cafe..it's very unique! It's near the lake and unmissable due to the 1000's of post-its everywhere! We had a really nice conversation with Dung (he made it very clear it's pronounced Jung and not dung). He wanted a picture so we made a trade haha!

DON'T GO to Halong Bay ???????? GO TO LAN HA BAY ????️
Why You Should Go To Lan Ha Bay NOT Halong Bay
In today's Vietnam travel vlog, I discuss why a prefer Lan Ha Bay over Ha Long Bay (Halong Bay). Most people have heard of Ha Long Bay but there is a better, lesser-known neighbor - Lan Ha Bay!
Ha Long Bay is a Unesco World Heritage site. When most people visit the Halong Bay area, they usually go on a 2 day, 1-night cruise. I don’t really think that’s enough time to truly appreciate this place & the tour boat companies pack so much into those 48 hours that you barely get to stop and really enjoy how beautiful the place is. So, I’d recommend spending a few more days in the Ha Long Bay area. I traveled with 6 of my friends and we decided to stay 5 days and even that didn’t seem like enough time to explore the area.
Like most, we made our way to the Ha Long area from Hanoi. For about $15 roundtrip, we took a luxury van to Ha Long City. But instead of jumping on a cruise boat and going directly to Ha Long Bay, we decided to spend a couple days on Tuan Chau Island. Tuan Chau Island is just off the coast of Ha Long City. There is a bridge from Ha Long City to Tuan Chau - so it’s just a short cab ride to get there from Halong City. We stayed at an inexpensive resort called La Paz Resort. It was $80 a night per room and we stayed two to a room. So it only cost $40 a night for each individual. We actually got pretty lucky. A huge storm rolled into Ha Long Bay and everyone's Halong Bay cruise was canceled for 2 days. Luckily for us, our Ha Long Bay cruise (Lan Ha Bay cruise) wasn’t for a few days and the resort had a great pool that we had a little fun in! The resort was also right on the beach and you could see the islands of Ha Long off in a distance even though it was pretty cloudy most of the time.
After relaxing a couple of days on Tuan Chau Island, we headed to Lan Ha Bay.
We took a water taxi to Cat Ba Island and then jumped on our boat in Lan Ha Bay. Like I mentioned before, I went with 7 of my buddies and 3 of us shared one cabin. There are many different options for cruise ships from big Halong Bay luxury cruise ships to smaller, more rustic Ha Long Bay cruise boats like the one we stayed on. I personally prefer the smaller boat, there were no more than 15 of us on the boat - so it felt less like a group tour type of thing.
Ok — so why Lan Ha Bay over the more famous Ha Long Bay? Ha Long Bay is beautiful, no doubt but it’s saturated with tourist. And that’s just not what I like. You can get the exact same scenery and beauty with far fewer tourist by going a few kilometers to the southwest to Lan Ha Bay.
Lan Ha Bay is located south of Ha Long Bay, just off the coast of Cat Ba Island. Ha Long Bay covers an area of a little over 1500 square kilometers and has around 1900 small islands. Lan Ha Bay is only 76 square kilometers and has around 400 small islands. While Lan Ha Bay is much smaller but there are more islands per square kilometer. Lan Ha Bay also feels bigger because there are far fewer boats than Ha Long Bay. There were many times I felt like we were the only boat in the entire bay. We were able to explore secluded beaches and coves with just my group and some local fisherman were hanging out.
If you're trying to figure out what to do in Vietnam, I hope this Vietnam travel vlog was helpful. My only regret was not getting more Halong Bay drone shots!
If you’ve been to Ha Long area — please comment below what you’re a favorite activity to do was. If you enjoyed this video - please hit the like button - it helps more people find the video. And if you enjoy this kind of travel video - please consider subscribing. I put out a video weekly documenting my travel adventures.
