This travel vlog is our first time to visit Bulgaria. We made our way to the ski resort town of Bansko. Thriving in the winter, the summer it becomes a quite hiking paradise. It felt off the beaten path with such few tourists but the hiking and trekking was perfect and clearly an underrated European destination. Such beautiful Bulgarian mountains to explore. We made our way up the Bansko gondola and hiked to the Vihren hut a popular place to start your mountain hike.

Vihren peak (2914m) FPV
Vihren (Bulgarian: Вихрен) is the highest peak of Bulgaria's Pirin Mountains. Reaching 2,914 metres (9,560 ft), it is Bulgaria's second and the Balkans' third highest, after Musala and Mount Olympus.[2] Although due to the karst topography Vihren is deprived of lakes and streams, a number of Pirin's lakes are located around the peak, as is Europe's southernmost glacial mass, the Snezhnika glacielet.[3] Until 1942 Vihren was known as Eltepe (peak of storms); it was also called Buren (stormy) and Malnienosets (lightning-bringer).[4] The UNESCO World Heritage Site Pirin National Park was originally known as the Vihren National Park.[5] Vihren is included in the 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria under No. 2

Part of the 4-day long hiking trip in Pirin, Bulgaria.
Day 1 - meeting in Bansko at 19:00. At 20:00 arrival at Vihren hut (there is a good road to the hut and parking spaces in front of it).
Day 2 - early wake up. Going from Vihren hut via the trekking path to Kazanite, which goes trough the starting point of Dzhamdzhiev edge. Ascending Vihren peak via Dzhamdzhiev edge. From the peak going back trough Premkata and Kazanite to Banderica hut. Staying through the night at Vihren hut.
Day 3 - leaving at 05:40 - max 06:00. From Vihren hut going to Sinanica hut. The trekking route goes through Muratov peak, Sinanica gate, ascending Sinanica peak and staying over the night at Sinanica hut.
Day 4 - waking up at 07:00. Going through Sinanica gate in the direction to Spamo Pole shelter, after that going via the yellow trekking trail to Spamopolski lakes. Passing Banderishka gate and arriving at Vihren hut.

Ден 1 - сборен пункт Банско в 19ч. В 20ч пристигане в х. Вихрен (има асфалтов път и място за паркиране пред хижата).
Ден 2 - ранно ставане. Тръгване от х. Вихрен по пътеката за Казаните, която минава през началото на Джамджиев ръб. Изкачване на връх Вихрен през Джамджиев ръб. От там връщане през Премката и Казаните към х. Бъндерица. Преспиване в х. Вихрен.
Ден 3 - Тръгване в 5:40 - максимум 6. От х. Вихрен потегляне посока х.Синаница. Минава се през Муратов връх, Синанишка порта, изкачване на връх Синаница и преспиване в хижа Синаница.
Ден 4 - ставане в 7ч. Потегляне през Синанишка порта в посока заслон Спамо поле, след което по жълтата маркировка продължаване към Спамотолски езера. Стига се Бъндеришка порта и се пристига в х. Вихрен.
