Cycling down the TF21 from Vilaflor towardsGranadilla de Abonar. This is the 2nd part of a decent down the TF21, it gives you a good idea of the number of switch back and a real appriciation of the lack of cars. Speeds are something in the region of 70kph / 43 mph. The road surface on the first section is near perfect, just count the number of turns, the full run takes about 5 mins longer and enters the town before coming to a junction.

Vilaflor de Chasna está situado en el sur de la isla de Tenerife. Está situado a 1500 metros de altitud, en un pequeño valle protegido por montañas.
Este municipio enclavado en las faldas del Teide no tiene línea costera. Rodeado de bosques, es conocido por su aire puro de montaña y su vida placentera. Desde el siglo XVI acudían a Vilaflor visitantes con problemas respiratorios para disfrutar del saludable clima de montaña que caracteriza este municipio.
El pueblo fue fundado por el mercader catalán Pedro Soler y su esposa, Juana de Padilla posiblemente en los años 1530 ó 1531.
Vilaflor cuenta con un rico patrimonio histórico y natural, la Parroquia Matriz de San Pedro Apóstol del Siglo XVI, fue construida sobre la primitiva ermita de San Pedro Apóstol edificada por la familia Soler en 1533.

Wer die Runde zur Paisaje Lunar schon wandern musste, wird sich geärgert haben, kein Bike dabei gehabt zu haben. Diese Runde baut die Abwärtstrails der Mondlandschaft mit ein paar brauchbaren Auffahrtspisten zu einer netten Runde zusammen. Vilaflor wird allerdings nicht berührt, es geht von Cruz de Tea (unterhalb liegener Ort) gleich waldintern auf Asphalt und Pisten hinauf bis zum höchsten Punkt nahe der Mondlandschaft. Wer die sehen will, muss ein Stück raufschieben. Anschließend geht es auf Flowtrails, gegen Ende auch etwas steiniger, wieder hinunter nach Cruz de Tea.
Bitte beachten: alle hier gezeigten Abfahrtstrails sind mit Fahrradverbotsschildern ausgerüstet und müssen daher geschoben werden!
