The music was written for me and is titled, One For Lisa. It is by Mikey Dred of Newcastle-on-Tyne UK. He gave it to me to use with some slideshows and clips as long as I credited him.
The first two photos are above Autoir, France and may show chemtrails.
The rest of the photos are in Martel, known as the City of Towers. Les Halles, the marketplace, is open every Wednesday morning. We enjoyed it and then had a restaurant lunch there on a terrace facing it. We enjoyed local products such as foie gras, walnuts, polenta in cassoulet, saffron rice (they produce very good saffron here) and fresh, ripe figs.
This region also produces much tobacco, fruit, corn and dairy products, including lots of goat and beef products.
In July and August, Les Halles in Martel has free live music. It must be very pleasant, but we avoid vacation travel in Europe in July and August, preferring September and other off-peak times.
The Quercy region of France is fascinating and has a rich history. We stayed in a rented, furnished 17th century house in Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, in the Corrèze département. The landlady does not speak English, but I could connect you. It was very inexpensive and sleeps five. We never had to buy more diesel fuel during our week here for our little car. So many things are right around, you don't have to do any long drives. We tried to rent in Martel for the week but the place was taken. We were thrilled with Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne. The fishing is great here, too, if you like that.
Le Truffadou Train , Martel - St Denis ,7th September 2015
Locomotive 0-8-0 T17 built in 1927 by the Society Alsacienne de Contructions Mecaniques hauls the Le Truffadou train from Martel to St Denis and back again on 7th September 2015 . The locomotive coasts down the incline to St Denis almost making no sound at all , the journey back to Martel is a different matter with the engine working very hard and making a great sound .
The line was opened in the 1889 but closed in 1980 . It was reopened by enthusiasts in 1997.
In the early days the trains were used to transport truffles hence the nickname Le Tuffadou .

Known as the city of towers, Martel has a market on Wednesday mornings. We'd been to Rocamadour that morning, and were tired, so we stopped in Martel to have lunch. Right across from Les Halles, a covered market structure, we had a very good lunch, seated outdoors at a terrace. It included the region's famous foie gras, fresh figs ripened in the sun, and rice flavored with the locally grown saffron.
This clip was made around 2 pm -- siesta time. You could hear a pin drop.
The coat of arms for this ancient city shows three hammers. The French word for hammer is marteau, likely a play on words with the name Martel.

Samedi soir 31 mars 2012, Jean Martel, maire de Boucherville, en présence de Jean-Claude Lenoir, sénateur maire, a fait serment de déguster du boudin, au moins une fois la semaine. En présence d'un parterre coloré constitué par les représentants de 73 confréries gastronomiques venues de la France entière (notamment de Narbonne) pour le 50e anniversaire de la confrérie du Goûte-Boudin de Mortagne, il a été intronisé par le Grand-Maistre Jean-Claude Gotteri, en qualité de chevalier du Goûte-Boudin, honneur qui rejaillit sur la délégation qui l'a accompagné composée d'Anne Renée Beaudouin, de Yan Savaria, conseiller municipal, Mélanie Bellemare et Charles Desmarteau, directeur du journal « La Relève » et sur la ville de Boucherville jumelée avec Mortagne depuis 1967.
En souvenir d'un conflit ayant opposé deux émigrants percherons du XVIIe siècle à propos d'un coffre, la confrérie a offert une superbe et très ancienne valise de voyage avec à l'intérieur le DVD du film « Perche, je me souviens », réalisé en 2004 par Luc Ronat et Anna Zlatov. Cette valise sera livrée à Boucherville lors d'un prochain voyage de la confrérie.
