Travel video about nature park Yellowstone National Park in the USA.
Located in the northwest of the U.S.A., in the state of Wyoming, is Yellowstone, a national park of the superlative, in which the impressive white water of Old Faithful is today one of the most famous and most photographed natural spectacles in the world. Indeed, for more than a century, this mighty geyser has been the proud and unique landmark of the oldest national park in the United States.
The Yellowstone National Park is famous for its highly visible geological processes. The area close to Old Faithful not only features a number of geysers but also numerous hot springs that highlight the tremendous thermal power that lies beneath the earth's surface.
Today, the Grand Geyser is the largest active geyser in the world. Its huge eruptions occur every 8 to 14 hours and last for 9 to 12 minutes and can sometimes reach a height of 60 metres.
The Yellowstone is one of the largest volcanoes in the world. Because it is located directly above a geological hot spot, a huge cave constantly fills with magma. It is situated at a depth of 8 kilometres and is the reason for the park's visible geothermal activity.
Some kilometres south of Nymph Lake is another geothermal area, the Norris Geyser Basin. This area is unique among the landscapes of Yellowstone Park as it is not only the park's hottest area but also boasts the largest geyser in the world, Steamboat Geyser.
Although Yellowstone National Park is important for North America's plant and wild life, this 9,000 square kilometre nature reserve is primarily a geological park.
Amazing, fantastic, incredible and wonderful. How can you put into words a place that provides so many remarkable glimpses of the inner workings of Planet Earth?

Yellowstone National Park 5 Wyoming, Montana, Idaho
Established in 1872, Yellowstone National Park is America's first national park. Located in Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, it is home to a large variety of wildlife including grizzly bears, wolves, bison, and elk. Preserved within Yellowstone National Park are Old Faithful and a collection of the world's most extraordinary geysers and hot springs, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone
Yellowstone National Park, established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872, is a national park located primarily in the U.S. state of Wyoming, although it also extends into Montana and Idaho. Yellowstone was the first national park in the world, and is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of the most popular features in the park. It has many types of ecosystems, but the subalpine forest is dominant.
Native Americans have lived in the Yellowstone region for at least 11,000 years. The region was bypassed during the Lewis and Clark Expedition in the early 19th century. Aside from visits by mountain men during the early-to-mid-19th century, organized exploration did not begin until the late 1860s. The U.S. Army was commissioned to oversee the park just after its establishment. In 1917, administration of the park was transferred to the National Park Service, which had been created the previous year. Hundreds of structures have been built and are protected for their architectural and historical significance, and researchers have examined more than 1,000 archaeological sites.
Yellowstone National Park spans an area of 3,468.4 square miles (8,983 km2), comprising lakes, canyons, rivers and mountain ranges. Yellowstone Lake is one of the largest high-altitude lakes in North America and is centered over the Yellowstone Caldera, the largest supervolcano on the continent. The caldera is considered an active volcano. It has erupted with tremendous force several times in the last two million years. Half of the world's geothermal features are in Yellowstone, fueled by this ongoing volcanism. Lava flows and rocks from volcanic eruptions cover most of the land area of Yellowstone. The park is the centerpiece of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, the largest remaining, nearly intact ecosystem in the Earth's northern temperate zone.
Hundreds of species of mammals, birds, fish and reptiles have been documented, including several that are either endangered or threatened. The vast forests and grasslands also include unique species of plants. Yellowstone Park is the largest and most famous megafauna location in the Continental United States. Grizzly Bears, wolves, and free-ranging herds of bison and elk live in the park. The Yellowstone Park Bison Herd is the oldest and largest public bison herd in the United States. Forest fires occur in the park each year; in the large forest fires of 1988, nearly one third of the park burnt. Yellowstone has numerous recreational opportunities, including hiking, camping, boating, fishing and sightseeing. Paved roads provide close access to the major geothermal areas as well as some of the lakes and waterfalls. During the winter, visitors often access the park by way of guided tours that use either snow coaches or snowmobile.

OLD FAITHFUL & Mammoth Hot Springs | Yellowstone National Park & Red Lodge, Montana Roadtrip
Visit Red Lodge! It is a beautiful town, right on the way to Beartooth pass in Yellowstone National Park, in Montana.
My mother, Carla, and I are road tripping through beautiful Montana. We stayed for a night in Red Lodge, since we heard it is so picturesque and beautiful.
When we woke up at the Lupine Inn, we drank some free hotel coffee, and had a quick swim in the pool. Hungry for food, we then went for lunch at Bogart's Restaurant downtown. We ordered fried pickles, jalapeno poppers and Mexican enchiladas. The food is extremely delicious here, and good value.
After lunch, we decided to work off some calories, so we walked the whole length of the main street of Red Lodge.
We were anxious to see animals. Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary, all rescued animals who need care, is also in downtown Red Lodge and welcomes guests to see their bears, foxes and other animals. Community funded, the animals here are deemed unable to survive in the wild. They try to provide the best life for the animals. There are many signs to be quiet, so as not to scare the animals.
Before traveling out of town to drive up Beartooth Pass Highway, we first stopped at the old train station, where the art takes over the indoors, from floor to ceiling. Admission is all free, but the art is for sale.
It was our time to target on the road to Yellowstone, by way of Beartooth Pass. We headed into the mountains to Beartooth Highway Pass, up to the state line where Montana meets Wyoming. Unfortunately, there was too much ice and snow on the roads to continue -- the road was closed off for the rest of the winter already.
We had no other choice but to drive up to the North gate at Gardiner, Montana, entrance to Yellowstone to enter. Along the way, we saw moose and deer along the road. Once we entered Yellowstone National Park, we enjoyed the sighs of Mammoth hot springs and Old Faithful Geyser.
We left Yellowstone from the south gate entrance at Wyoming, that goes through the Grand Teton Park. The sunsets were incredible in the wide open Montana and Wyoning skies.

USA tour -part 6 - Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
We arrived at Yellowstone after getting a bit lost. It is amazing inside, lots of trees and flowing rivers, we filled up with gas and found a campsite that could commode us. It was freezing but we made a fire, i cooked a steak surfy and we costed up in our bed.
25th June - Early in the morning we got up, showered and had oats for breakfast. We were trying to get to a guided tour of the Norris Geysers by 9:30. Ranger Rick took us around, it was amazing. Apparently sulphur in the air with thousands of natural geysers, hot springs, thermals and mud pots. Some pools that boiled, some holes in the ground that spurted water out, some clear steaming pools. It was fascinating, some of the water was high in alkaline and some acidic. The contrasts f this park were phenomenal. We were so lucky to get there early as by the time we left the que to get in was miles long. Only downside of the park - the millions of people. We drove around the park a bit more, saw a grizzly bear, TONS of Bison and a wolf. The wildlife there is insane. We found a quiet patch were jarrod fished and i made us sausage and salad for lunch. We chilled by the river for a bit and then left the park.

8 Day Yellowstone Road Trip - Amazing Landscapes and Wildlife
My dad and I for our annual vacation together, did an 8 day road trip starting in Rapid City, SD to Salt Lake City, UT. Our main places to visit were Mount Rushmore and Yellowstone, but we saw so much other great sights along the way.
We started out with a way too early 6am flight out of LAX, connected through SLC, then finally to Rapid City where we picked up our Chevy Traverse, which ended up getting 23mpg for the trip.
I heard about Wall Drugs so I figured we'd stop there, you really need to stop there since there's a billboard every mile along the way. More curiosity than anything at that point, but it's just a tourist trap, bunch of shops and stuff. We ate at a bad restaurant nearby, not many choices unfortunately.
Our next stop was the Badlands National Park, amazing landscapes there, and some prairie dogs, bison and deer. We then drove to Keystone to check into our hotel and it was still light out so we went to Mount Rushmore instead of at sunrise. It was great, hardly any people, nice light, except they charge a parking fee, even though my dad has the senior national park pass.
Day 2 we started with a nice free breakfast, saw a few deer right there at the hotel, then made our way to Custer State Park in search of bison. The lady at the visitor center told us where to find the herd, and she was right. We saw hundreds of them, some even came up to the car.
The next stop was the Crazy Horse Memorial, but it was foggy and we couldn't see it, they gave us half price admission to the museum though. After that we drove to Lead to find a Hawaiian restaurant I found on Yelp, but it was closed. We ended up eating at a nice place in Deadwood, then drove to Sturgis to check it out. Then back to Deadwood where I had the biggest piece of meat ever. It had to be 50 ounces of prime rib, excellent meat too, I was very surprised. I ate about 2/3 of it, that was just crazy.
Our third day was a long 7 hour drive to Cody, we stopped at Devil's Tower, then Little Bighorn, ending up in Cody and found a Chinese Buffet that was pretty good.
The fourth day we finally made it to Yellowstone, saw some of the sights on the way to the North entrance where we stayed just outside of the park. Saw lots of wildlife and some thermal mudpots, pretty cool stuff.
The fifth day we saw the rest of Yellowstone including Old Faithful, which wasn't as impressive as we expected. It must be rare to get a huge eruption, and it was so crowded, had to be a few thousand people there just waiting for something to happen.
Our sixth day we went to West Yellowstone to check out the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center to see them up close. It was worth the trip, impressive animals, we also had a good breakfast, way better than inside the park. Late that afternoon we took a four hour wildlife tour, saw some bears, bighorn sheep, pronghorn, mule deer, mountain goats, and about a thousand bison.
Day seven we left Yellowstone and drove through The Grand Tetons National Park. The Tetons are impressive, great views of the mountains and lakes there, and we saw more bison, some blocking the road. We had lunch in Jackson at a good Thai restaurant, unfortunately we planned to have dinner at a good place for my dad's birthday, but we go there too early and they were closed. We changed our plans on staying in Idaho Springs to just drive to Salt Lake City where we got a free room at the Sheraton and had a nice free dinner in the Club Lounge.
Our final day, we had some time to kill so we went to the Antelope Island State Park, saw more bison, the Great Salt Lake, but didn't stay too long because of the smell. We stopped by Cabela's on the way to the airport, then headed home finally.
Unfortunately we landed in LAX at 4pm, sat in traffic for over an hour, picked up my dad's iPhone 7, his birthday present, set it up, had a quick dinner, then I headed home.
It was a great trip, we saw so much and covered so much ground, and my dad crossed of a few things on his bucket list.
Here's a breakdown of our expenses:
Flights $931.40
Rental Car $800.00
Hotels $1281.82
Food $421.71
Tours $238.09
Parking $100.75
Total $3971.58

Today we landed in Bozeman, Montana to start our trip. We spent the evening exploring Yellowstone National Park. We started by eating dinner at the Mammoth Hot Springs Lodge then went to the Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces (which were really amazing).
The next morning we woke up early so we could explore the Lamar Valley of Yellowstone National Park. We were able to see a lot of wildlife including Bison (Buffalo), Elk, chipmunks, Osprey, and More.
We then took an authentic stagecoach ride to a lunch picnic spot that was amazing. We also had a chance to see the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone and the Lower Falls which was a mind-blowing sight.
To end the day we arrived at Under Canvas which would be our home base for the next couple of days. This was our first experience with glamping and we had such a good time there.
And this was only our first full day! Follow along with our other videos from this amazing trip with Adventures By Disney.
From the website:
After our near miss when it came to catching our cruise ship to Alaska last month, we chose to fly in a day ahead of time for this adventure. Having been on an Adventures By Disney Danube River Cruise last year, we knew we wouldn't want to miss a single second of it. I'm so glad we did, too.
This way we were able to fly in (super short barely 2 hours non-stop flight from LAX to Bozeman, Montana) the afternoon before, get dinner, get some good rest and then meet the rest of the group back at the airport for the official start.
Rested and ready for the adventure to start, we joined the group and hopped on our tour bus. This is one of the many things that sets Adventures By Disney apart from other tours.
They take care of everything and there is never any wasted time waiting. As soon as our group was ready to go, we loaded right away. Cory, our bus driver, was with us the entire time we were traveling and was always seconds from where we were.
When there were stops along the way where there wasn't parking, it didn't matter to our group because Cory would drop us all up right up front to maximize our time and then he would magically appear when it was time to go!
Going into this vacation we were all extremely excited. We were excited about the places we would see and the things we would do, but we were even more excited about the whole Disney experience.

Arguably the most famous national park in the USA, Yellowstone was the first of its kind in the world, established as a national park in 1872. Includes footage of Old Faithful, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming Hot Springs, wildlife and much more!
Top 5 Resorts Near Yellowstone Video (HD)
Many visitors to Yellowstone choose stay in the park at one of the many lodges, or at campsites with their vehicles. However, you usually have to book way in advance to get the best spots, so finding the right place to stay near the park can be a make or break aspect for your enjoyment at America's premier national park.
When deciding where to stay near Yellowstone, I look for a couple of things: proximity to the park, comfort and style of the facilities, and activities other than the park that may be available nearby.
Using these criteria, I've compiled a list of my 5 favorite places stay. This list is by no means definitive. I have stayed at places that are very nice that check all my boxes on the list, but to be on this list, there has to be something special about the place that makes it different than anywhere else.
That's why the Best Western in Cody isn't on here, even though it's a great place to stay. Or the Buffalo Bill Cabins adjacent to that property.
So enjoy the video, feel free to ask questions and above all....GET TO YELLOWSTONE NOW!
