Kolkata/Calcutta walk tour with Let's Meetup Tours in India
We believe Walking is the best way to see a place. If you drive, you watch the road. In a taxi, the city moves past too quickly. Riding a bicycle is even too fast and distracting. Walking is the only way to really examine the people, the shops, the art, and the trash. The only way to feel the texture of a city at ground level is with your feet.

Slum walking tours in Kolkata by Let's Meet Up Tours
Poverty Tourism and Sustainable tourism : Kolkata Slum walking Tours by Let's Meet up tours letsmeetuptours.com
our tours are sustainable & provide a positive impact on the community, a proportion of our revenues are distributed to communities.
Our mission is twofold; to help slum dwellers eradicate poverty by empowering them to become independent and help improve life for their families. Secondly we aim to help educate and inform a wider community about the challenges of informal settlements, and one of the ways we are achieving that is by arranging walking tours of Kolkata slums, whereby we encourage positive impact on the slum dwellers lives, on the basis if people aren't aware of the issues, they can't help.
We aim to engage in local projects, initially supporting educational development by providing essential lighted space where children can go and study; cook stoves for individual dwellings and communal kitchens; and better access to clean water.
We feel that this is our collective social responsibility and want to inspire people globally to provide aid and help alleviate the appalling conditions in Indian slums, either by encouraging them to become involved and share knowledge or provide support. Knowledge is sometimes more valuable than financial support, as knowledge of the privileged educated class can often help informal communities have access to better living conditions.

Best places to visit in Kolkata | Dalhousie square B.B.D. Bagh tour | West Bengal India - 1
Best places to visit in Kolkata | Dalhousie square B.B.D. Bagh tour | West Bengal India (তুমিও হেঁটে দেখো কোলকাতা)- 1
Kolkata is third-largest city and a daily festival of human existence, simultaneously noble and squalid, cultured and desperate, decidedly futuristic while splendid in decay. By its old spelling, Calcutta readily conjures images of human suffering to most Westerners – although that's not a complete picture of this 330-year-old metropolis. Locally, Kolkata is regarded as India’s intellectual, artistic and cultural capital. Although poverty is certainly apparent, the self-made middle class drives the city's core machinery, a nascent hipster culture thrives among its millennial residents and its dapper Bengali gentry frequent grand colonial-era clubs.
This video about 11 heritage tourist places in Dalhousie Kolkata.
Dalhousie square previously called BBD bag, the full form of Binoy Badal Dinesh bag. It contents writers’ building, Lal dighi, GPO, telephone Bhavan, the heritage of Kolkata, HSBC bank, royal insurance building, currency building etc.
Dalhousie Square is one of the busiest areas in Kolkata city. Needless to say, it’s the heart of the city as well. There is an ancient square-shaped pond called ‘Lal Dighi’ and it’s quite popular among the Kolkatans. Around this ponds most of the important building structures and landmarks situated. Like Writers’ Building (Mahakaran), G.P.O., Telephone Bhavan, Currency Building, India Post, Royal Insurance Building and Stephen House etc. Besides, The Reserve Bank of India (main branch) and the Hongkong Shanghai Bank deserve a mention.
B. B. D. Bag is an acronym used for the names three great fighter sons of Bengal, - Benoy, Badal and Dinesh Bag. Today, there is a railway station, bus terminus and a tram depot after the name (BBD Bag).
Visitors/tourist who come to Kolkata always visit these places. The holy churches, ancient, and historical buildings carry the architectural appeal of the past decades. Besides, the Hooghly riverbank, the Millennium Park, Raj Bhavan, Kolkata high court, Babughat invite everyone to visit the place time and again.
The region is located at a walking distance away from the Dharmatala, Esplanade section of the city. However, the area is accessible by the local railways, buses, trams, and jetty services and Kolkata metro as well(the nearest station is central metro station) as well.

India Vlog 39 Walking Tour of Kolkata Religious Places
India is truly a land of DIVERSITY. There's groups of people, subgroups of those groups, and subgroups under those subgroups... it's very complicated. One cannot understand diversity until they come to India. This sort of diversity is not just black, white, asian, hispanics, etc....
This Vlog cannot compare the accurate amount of religious diversity here in India. If I'd gone out even more to video the different religious groups in India it would take me days. This tour was only one day, and in just one day alone I was able to capture this much. Just imagine if I'd take one month to go around Kolkata and tour the different religious places.
So here's small portion of the different religious places in North West Kolkata. I am sorry that this Vlog does not and cannot bring justice to the real religious diversity in Kolkata.
