Impeachment trial of President Trump | Jan. 30, 2020 (FULL LIVE STREAM)
House impeachment managers and President Trump’s lawyers have concluded their opening arguments in the Senate. The impeachment trial is now in the question period for both sides, when senators submit questions in writing to Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. The chief justice will read questions out loud, alternating between the majority and minority for up to eight hours.
Trump was impeached by the House of Representatives in December for abuse of power and obstruction of Congress. Impeachment does not mean that the president has been removed from office. In the next phase, the Senate must hold a trial to make that determination. A Senate impeachment trial has happened only two other times in American history and once in the modern era. At the center of the Democrats’ case is that Trump sought to withhold military assistance and an Oval Office meeting until Ukraine announced investigations into former vice president Joe Biden and his son.

Milwaukee: A City Built on Water | Program |
[Original Airdate: April 22, 2015]
Historian John Gurda explores how the Milwaukee River and Lake Michigan spurred Milwaukee's growth. The settlers used rivers and Lake Michigan to transport grain, lumber, leather and beer, but water was just as important for play as it was for work. Gurda explains how the Milwaukee River became a destination for fun. Learn how the lower Milwaukee River was eventually reduced to an open sewer by 1900, with Lake Michigan suffering similar indignities. Only in recent decades have the currents turned for the better. From the Milwaukee River Greenway to the reborn Menomonee Valley to the cultural theme park on our downtown lakefront, the patterns of the past are being reversed, providing cause for celebration as well as concern.

Steven Kwast | The Urgent Need for a U.S. Space Force
Steven L. Kwast is a retired Air Force general and former commander of the Air Education and Training Command at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy with a degree in astronautical engineering, he holds a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government. He is a past president of the Air Force’s Air University in Montgomery, Alabama, and a former fighter pilot with extensive combat and command experience. He is the author of the study, “Fast Space: Leveraging Ultra Low-Cost Space Access for 21st Century Challenges.”
Beginning in 2010, and coinciding with the opening of Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship on Capitol Hill, the College has hosted an annual Constitution Day Celebration in Washington, D.C. to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787.
The program—which features speeches, debates, and roundtable discussions—explores the continuing relevance of the Founders’ Constitution for American politics today.
Hillsdale College is an independent institution of higher learning founded in 1844 by men and women “grateful to God for the inestimable blessings” resulting from civil and religious liberty and “believing that the diffusion of learning is essential to the perpetuity of these blessings.” It pursues the stated object of the founders: “to furnish all persons who wish, irrespective of nation, color, or sex, a literary, scientific, [and] theological education” outstanding among American colleges “and to combine with this such moral and social instruction as will best develop the minds and improve the hearts of its pupils.” As a nonsectarian Christian institution, Hillsdale College maintains “by precept and example” the immemorial teachings and practices of the Christian faith.
The College also considers itself a trustee of our Western philosophical and theological inheritance tracing to Athens and Jerusalem, a heritage finding its clearest expression in the American experiment of self-government under law.
By training the young in the liberal arts, Hillsdale College prepares students to become leaders worthy of that legacy. By encouraging the scholarship of its faculty, it contributes to the preservation of that legacy for future generations. By publicly defending that legacy, it enlists the aid of other friends of free civilization and thus secures the conditions of its own survival and independence.

Wild Dolphin Sleep | Sailing to Most Remote Island | Sailing the South Pacific - SV Aulani Aloha
Sailing, sleeping with spinner dolphins and whales. Learning how to sleep, overcome insomnia, anxiety and depression. Do it the way whales and dolphins do. Incredible island in center of Pacific Ocean plus rare whales and Spinner Dolphins across Hawaii begin to show us how to sleep, deal with anxiety, insomnia and depression.
→ Feature Flic Sailing the Wild West
To make my videos thus far I pack my stuff into a Pelican case, kayak to shore often with dolphins by day and sharks by night. Starbucks is my office and my vessel is the staging grounds. Imagine what will be with upgraded gear, having some crew onboard and guests that gives some semblance of respect to the incredible beauty, sounds and adventures that await!

Rock Island Milky Way Time-lapse [4K]
This is a time-lapse I'd captured beginning the night of June 23rd, 2017...
...My journey begins at the outer reaches of Chicagoland, Illinois to the edge of Door County, Wisconsin. Five hours by car, then a car/passenger ferry followed by an island-crossing by car (Washington Island) and a passenger-only ferry to Rock Island State Park (Wisconsin), USA. My Great Lake island adventure begins with a 1.25 mile hike to my back country campsite carrying all of my camera gear (most of which is listed below) and my personal essentials. The island greeted me with a sustained downpour from the moment I'd set up my tent to near sunrise the next morning. The following day was glorious, warm and sunny weather followed by accumulating clouds into the early evening; perfect for scouting locations for a nightscape panoramic & time-lapse, and drying my tent & some of my other gear. By late evening, sustained mostly-clear skies until late the next morning! Unfortunately, I'd let the early evening clouds sway my decision to begin with an attempt at a 3-row 360° Milky Way panoramic; so, I'd decided on a longer time-lapse than originally planned...
Technical details:
The time-lapse you see here is made from 514 photos captured over 5 hours (approx. 11:30p - 4:30a CDT).
The gear I'd used: Canon 6D w/ double-battery grip, Rokinon 14mm f/2.8, SYRP Genie w/ ball head, SYRP Genie Mini, SYRP Magic Carpet Long Track (5.2') & slider --mounted to a single Oben tripod w/ ball head (on one side).
My camera settings: ISO 6400, aperture f/2.8, 30sec exposure. Move-shoot-move motion controlled linear & rotational camera movements at a 35sec interval for shutter release. 15° rotational movement per hour (keeping the Milky Way front-and-center by compensating for Earth's rotation) and 1' per hour linear travel over 5 hours.
Software used for photos, audio, and video: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, LRTimelapse (rendered at 4K res), Adobe Premiere Pro (rendered at 4K res) and Ableton Live (for remix of licensed audio track). The voices you hear are from Voyager Spacecraft's Golden Record; edited excerpts from Greetings to the Universe in 55 Different Languages.
Intro photos: Little Planet Rock (360° pano of Rock Island's historic boat house and surrounding area) using Canon 6D w/ double-battery grip and arca-type L-bracket, Sigma 24mm f/1.4 art lens, Oben tripod w/ Really Right Stuff Pano Gimbal head w/ nodal rail and leveling base. Made from 3 rows of 24 photos each row (every 15°) in portrait orientation; processed in Adobe Lightroom and stitched using PTGui. Camera/Gear-Setup photo taken at actual time-lapse location using an iPhone.

Thanks for watching,
Paul

The Fish Lake House is framed by mature trees and surrounded by nature. This 3.6 acre property is located on the north shore of Fish Lake a 200 acre kettle lake, formed by a receding glacier. The home sits well above the lake, yet its proximity- just 50ft offshore- allows for breathtaking waterfront views.
The current owners have created a thoughtfully planned and meticulously constructed custom built home, featuring an abundance of windows that offer sunshine and soothing lake views year round. Inclement weather need not keep you indoors; the huge screened porch is one of the best-loved areas of the house. The openness and beauty of both this home and its setting will enrich your connection to nature, and help to soothe your soul. The Fish Lake House is a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The Fish Lake House offers the rare blend of old world craftsmanship combined with today's modern amenities and energy efficiencies. The custom architectural design ensures the successful marriage of traditional details such as stucco, cedar, ironwood, copper and stone, with energy efficient radiant floor heating and spray foam insulation. A myriad of small, carefully chosen details help make this exquisite home a unique hybrid of technical expertise and modern comforts.
While the eye-catchers may be the iron wood decks, copper gutters, cedar rafter tails and knee braces, the hidden gems will enhance day-to-day living. Top of the line Marvin Integrity windows, or the whole house Gypcrete radiant floor heating system- offering increased energy efficiency, fire-protection, temperature control, and decreased sound conduction- might easily be taken for granted, but you will love having these quality features in place!
While the beauty of nature takes center stage here, The Fish Lake House is incredibly livable. Smart choices will keep exterior maintenance to a minimum- flagstone walkways, ironwood decking, stucco exterior, and low maintenance landscaping.
Come to The Fish Lake House to paddle or swim, explore the curving waterfront and wooded areas, climb trees, pick apples, plant gardens, go fishing, swing in a hammock, watch the birds, ice skate and ice fish. Or just lounge on the deck, and enjoy the serenity of the lake house you've longed for... all just a quick and easy drive from Madison, WI.
Blackhawk Island and Camp Wawbeek 1929-1930 #1b
What is presently known as Upham Woods located in the Wisconsin Dells area-which includes a section of land across from Blackhawk Island and Blackhawk Island. According to Elizabeth Upham Davis, Blackhawk Island was named by her father Horace Upham because it was believed that Black Hawk hid in the caves on Black Hawk Island during the Black Hawk War.
In the 1940's this land was donated by Elizabeth Upham Davis and Caroline Upham Hughes to the UW Extension (in honor of their parents Mary and Horace Upham) to create Upham Woods Environmental Learning Center and to also preserve the timber and purity of the natural surroundings for future generations to enjoy and to prevent the construction of tourist type attractions and development.
The video depicts the families of Elizabeth Upham Davis and Caroline Upham Hughes enjoying their summers camping and fishing at Blackhawk Island and picking flowers and riding in a horse drawn cart and spraying fruit trees at Camp Wawbeek in the Wisconsin Dells during the late 1920's and early 1930's.
The 410 acres of the Upham family property was donated to create what is known today Camp Wawbeek / Easter Seals Camp Wawbeek.
Blackhawk Island was designated as a State Natural Area in 1969. Located in Juneau County, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
Caroline Upham Hughes was born and reared in Milwaukee. In her youth she developed a deep interest in the beauties and forces of nature that converged so abundantly on Blackhawk Island and the in the area of the family's summer home near Wisconsin Dells. Caroline was her father's constant companion during the summers at the Upham homestead. Here she developed a great interest in farming and in rural life.
Early in life she acquired a keen interest in health and nutrition. After graduation from Downer Seminary in Milwaukee and from Radcliff College, Cambridge, Massachusetts, she worked as a food chemist in the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Washington D.C.
Later, while living in Wilmington, Delaware with her family of four children, Caroline was active in the Junior League, was President of the Visiting Nurses Organization and was active in the Family Welfare Association. For almost 25 years she had been a member of the Delaware State Board of Health.
Because of Caroline Upham Hughe's deep love for the out-of-doors and her training and experience in the field of health and nutrition, she gladly joined with her sister in dedicating without personal gain the extensive family properties at Wisconsin Dells.
In 1966 Caroline Upham Hughe's lived on a farm near Middletown, Delaware, where they raised Guernsey cattle and purebred dogs. More important, the Hughe's home remained a center where sons and daughters with their families would come for weekends and summer vacations.
Elizabeth Upham Davis was born in Milwaukee and was educated at Downer College. At the family summer home near Wisconsin Dells, the beauties and forces of nature undoubtedly engendered her deep interest and talents in art.
She became one of America's pioneers in occupational therapy. In 1914 she realized the potentials of craft work as a curative aid, not only in the rehabilitation of World War I casualties, but also in the general field of rehabilitation. The young Professor Elizabeth Upham, director of the art department at Milwaukee Downer College, trained a group of students employing arts and crafts as curative aids. During World War I she worked with the Federal Board of Vocational Education in setting up the first standards for such training courses and was so placed in charge of research for the rehabilitation of disabled sailors and soldiers.
In 1918 in response to a call from the Surgeon General of the U.S. Army, she was instrumental in establishing at Downer College one of the first departments of occupational therapy in America. This emphasis on arts and crafts in the occupational therapy curriculum led to new concepts and broader applications in the entire field of art.
Mrs. Davis authored various publications dealing with rehabilitation, vocational education and the training of teachers in occupational therapy. Her continued concern for rehabilitation of those people that are challenged with physical and learning differences and her deep interest in youth were evidenced by her part in contributing these priceless lands.
