Wat Tha Ka Rong, Ayutthaya Historical Park | Ayutthaya City, Thailand
WAT MUANG WITH HELL PARK, ANG THONG Movie1 Full
Wat Phanan Choeng, Ayutthaya
Wat Phanan Choeng is a lively temple compound at the junction of the Pasak and Chao Phraya River in Ayutthaya. While the temple structures themselves are a bit unremarkable by Ayutthaya standards, the main attraction is the huge gilded Buddha Image Phra Phanan Choeng. Religious ceremonies take place here regularly. You can witness the changing of the robes of the Buddha.

Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Korat, Issan, a trip to Phimai historical park, Thailand. ( 20 )
The province is located on the western end of the Korat Plateau, separated from the Chao Phraya river valley by the Phetchabun and Dong Phaya Yen mountain ranges. Two national parks are in the province - the Khao Yai in the west and the Thap Lan in the south. Both parks are in the forested mountains of the Sankamphaeng Range, the southern prolongation of the Dong Phaya Yen mountains. Nakhon Ratchasima, or Korat, is a large province on the north eastern plateau and acts as a gateway to other provinces in the Northeast. It is 259 kilometres ( 161 miles ) from Bangkok and has an area of around 20,494 square kilometres (7,913 sq mi), making it the biggest Thai province. The province is rich in Khmer culture and has a long history.
The area around Khorat was already an important centre in the times of the Khmer empire in the 11th century, as can be seen by the temple ruins in the Phimai historical park. Still, Nakhon Ratchasima Province is one of the provinces where there is a sizable Northern Khmer population. A new walled-city with a surrounding moat, designated as Nakhon Ratchasima, was built in the seventeenth century by order of the King Narai, as the easternmost 'command post', guarding the Kingdom's border and supervising its Lao and Cambodian 'vassals.. It continued this duty during the Bangkok Period, although it was seized by deceit during Chao Anuwong of Vientiane's 1826 revolt against the King Rama III of Siam.
Nakhon Ratchasima has long been the most important political and economic center in the northeastern region. In the late nineteenth century, the railroad reached Khorat became the junction of two main rail lines in the Northeastern, Issan, region. In 1933 it was the stronghold of the royalist troops in the Boworadej Revolt, as they fought against the new ostensibly democratic government in Bangkok. In the 1950s, the Korat Royal Thai Air Force Base was built in Nakhon Ratchasima; from 1961 until 26 February 1976, this facility was also used as a base by the United States Air Force.
A monument to Thao Suranaree (real name: Khun Ying Mo; 1771–1852) is situated in front of the old Prau Chumpon gate. Also called The Great Heroine of Khorat, Kun Ying Mo was the wife of the Deputy Governor of Khorat during the reign of King Rama III. In 1826, Khun Ying Mo managed to save the city from an invasion by the Laotian army led by Prince Anouvong of Vientiane. King Rama III conferred the title of Thao Suranaree on Khun Ying Mo, as well as additional ones honouring her bravery.
Roads Highway 2 (Mittraphap Road) is the main route that connects 9 districts in Nakhon Ratchasima including Muang district. This route also connects Nakhon Ratchasima to Saraburi and Khon Kaen provinces. As, Highway No. 24 links Si Khio district from the Highway 2 to Pak Thongcha, Chok Chai and Nong Bunnak districts and to Burirum province.
Rail systems The railway system in Nakhon Ratchasima is on both north-eastern routes from Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong central terminal. Nakhon Ratchasima has 8 main railway stations.
Bus service Mini-bus and bus routes operate in the city and nearby areas. There are non air-conditioned buses from the provincial town which go to every district. As for travel to nearby provinces, there are both air and non air-conditioned ones.
Songthaew (public passenger pick-up vehicle) Songthaew or public passenger pick-up vehicle is the most popular mode of public transportation in all the town districts. These run on fixed routes.
Taxis are plentiful, clean, safe, and inexpensive in Khorat. They can be found at taxi stands in the city areas or hailed on the streets. There are also certain taxis that can be requested by phone, however, the fare is slightly higher than regular taxis. An increasing number of taxi drivers nowadays speak some English which may prove extremely useful for first-time visitors. The fare system is based on both distance and time. Fares begin at 30 Bath for the first 2 kilometres.
Motorbike-taxi The motorbike taxis are found mainly in the town areas and are used mainly for short distances.
Airport Nakhon Ratchasima has one airport but as of June 2007, it no longer services any flights. The nearest airport is in Buri ram and has flights to and from Bangkok.
Famous Wat Kam Chanot Temple in Udon Thani
This is the famous temple which is about 1.5hr drive from Udon Thani City itself. Everyone goes there to pray for wealth like lottery and prosperous business. It was being said many people encountered lottery strike after praying and then returned back to offer the payback.
This impromptu short film was shot by my dad (pardon for the shakiness and amateur filming) I'm so grateful for him nevertheless. He tried his best and was very patient throughout.
I just thought by letting someone else to film instead of myself, you would be able to see the entire temple more clearly!

Lan Xang
The Lao kingdom of Lan Xang Hom Khao existed as a unified kingdom from 1354-1707.
For three and a half centuries, Lan Xang was one of the largest kingdoms in Southeast Asia. The million elephants under the white parasol of the kingdom's name alludes to the power of the kingship and formidable war machine of the early kingdom. The kingdom is the precursor for the country of Laos and the basis for the national historic and cultural identity.

The Phra Acana Buddha image at Wat Si Chum
The most striking feature of the temple is the large solid building (mondop) at the rear of what remains of the main prayer hall. A single narrow slit, almost the full height of the mondop, is all that pierces the structure. Through this narrow entrance, you glimpse the serene face of a single large seated Buddha image that almost completely fills the space enclosed by the building. The mondop once had a roof, but it is now gone, so the interior space is open to the sky. The walls of the mondop are much thicker than they need to be. This is because there is a narrow, cramped passageway between the outer and inner walls. The corridor was lined with depictions of the life of Buddha (the Jataka), and allowed devotees to climb up and around the image. Small openings in the inner wall allowed people to get a small glimpse of just one part of the image. The Ramkamhaeng National Museum is attempting to replicate this experience in the museum.
The Buddha image is itself quite striking, and not just for its setting. The image is known as Phra Acana, which means 'one who is not frightened' or 'unperturbed'. The fingers of his right hand, which is extended down to summon the Earth Goddess, are long and delicate. They have been, of course, covered in bits of gold leaf by contemporary Thais. According to legend, a Burmese army invading Sukhothai fled at the sight of this image
.
The Wat Phra Phai Luang
Is located near the Sanluang gate in the North city wall, just outside of the old walled town. The temple dates to the end of the 12th century or early 13th century before the founding of the Sukhothai Kingdom, which makes it one of the oldest monuments in Sukhothai.
It is believed to have been founded during the reign of Angkor King Jayavarman VII, who built some of Angkor’s most impressive monuments including the Bayon temple. The Wat Phra Phai Luang was built by the Khmer when the Sukhothai area was an outpost of the Khmer empire. It was the center of town in the pre Sukhothai era and the most important temple of that time.
The large temple is built on a square area surrounded by a 600 meter long moat, its buildings aligned on an East-West axis. Since its structures were built during different periods, the temple shows the evolution in Sukhothai architecture and art. It contains examples of different architectural styles such as Khmer, Sukhothai and Ayutthay

INDOCHINA without visas 2nd series Laos
Mekong — one of the greatest rivers of Asia and the biggest river of Indochina — extends from Tibet to the South China Sea.
Around the Laotian-Cambodian border during the rainy season, Mekong spreads on 14 kilometers, forming currents, rifts and falls. Rocks, islands and islets stick out of the water.
The biggest of them — Don Det Island. It is also the largest tourist center of the region. Here, there are hotels and guesthouses, restaurants and cafes. From here, the tourist routes to the largest waterfalls begin.
People lived on the banks of the Mekong River since ancient times. They grew rice, founded cities, built monasteries and temples.
The ancient Buddhist temple Wat Poh was founded in the 5th century AD. Not much remained until our days, from this monastery that was once a large one.
The capital of Laos isn't among the tourist destinations. The Buddhist temples are here. But they are not museum like, that interests only the tourists, but alive. Local people, the majority of who consider themselves Buddhists, come here to pray and to talk to the monks, bring donations and flowers.
To Vang Vieng, the fans of active travel are attracted by the rocks of bizarre shapes, and the numerous karst caves in its suburbs.
Luang Prabang — the city of monasteries and temples. The most touristic city of Laos. Almost all the houses in downtown are reconstructed into hotels and guesthouses, cafes and restaurants. And the central street turned into a large souvenir market, under the open sky.

Kanchanaburi Hellfire Pass - Thailand
Hellfire Pass, Kanchanaburi
This is one of the hardest segments in the “Death Railway”.
This segment required deep carving into hard rock using manual tools, the hard work, harsh conditions and Japanese cruelty led to the death of many POWs and labor workers in this segment.
A collaboration of the Australian and Thai governments led to the establishment of a memorial site that includes a museum and a walking path, leading to the quarrying area. The site is meticulously handled and the small museum holds a lot of information about the area and the prisoners of war. The walking path -around an hour there and back- is very convenient and well marked.
The Thai name of the pass is Chong Khao Khat, and is called Konyu Cutting by the Japanese. The name Hellfire Pass was given to the place due to the fact the work was done around the clock, even at night. The bamboo torches, carbide lamps and the sounds of tools pounding into the rock gave the place a look that resembles Hell.
As mentioned before, this segment required the hardest carving, 17 meters deep and 110 meters long, through very hard rock, and all done with manual tools.
The job was assigned to a group of 400 Australian POWs. Later, an additional group of 600 British and Australian POWs joined the work. The workers were forced to work 18 straight hours and in very harsh conditions.
The work began on the 25th of April 1943 and ended within only 6 weeks.
During the labor, the Japanese beat 69 POWs to death and many more died of exhaustion, hunger and diseases.
In memory of these Australian and British POWs, that gave their life while working on the railway, the memorial was founded, and it includes the museum, a viewpoint and a walking path about 4km long.
Arrival: Hellfire Pass is found on route 323, some 80km from the town of Kanchanaburi.
Activity Hours: The museum and the site are open everyday from 9:00 in the morning till 4:00 in the afternoon.
