Wellfleet is a town in Barnstable County, Massachusetts, United States, and is located halfway between the tip and elbow of Cape Cod. The town had a population of 2,750 at the 2010 census,[1] which swells nearly sixfold during the summer. A total of 70% of the town's land area is in protection, and nearly half of it is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore. Wellfleet is famous for its eponymous oysters, which are celebrated in the annual October Wellfleet OysterFest.

MASSACHUSETTS - PIONEERING STATE
As we traveled through a beautiful state of Massachusetts we encountered beautiful natural landscapes and amazing manmade marvels. Bash Bish Falls and Tannery Falls were a bit dry this season but they still delivered the sense of peace and comfort. White's Factory showed us how manmade structures influence natural landscape even a century later after it was abandoned. USS Massachusetts, located in Fall River, and a nuclear power plant on the background showed us the power and might of manmade engineering projects. What a beautiful state!

We haven't been to Massachusetts Audubon Society Moose Hill in years. We went for a nice long walk on December 27, 2011. It was a cool and cloudy day. We took a walk out to Billings Barn, through the field, past the Cistern and up to the Bluffs. Its a great view up top. It was very windy and cloudy so it wasn't the best day for taking pictures and videos. We ended our walk on the Boardwalk that goes over the wetlands. We could hear a happy Black-Capped Chickadee singing away. They are the Massachusetts State Bird. We had a wonderful morning.

Major drought conditions getting worse in Massachusetts ~ September 2016
Today (9/10/16) we took a nature walk at Mass Audubon Broadmoor Wildlife Sanctuary in Natick Ma. We checked out a trail we have never been on before. Our first stops were to the two boardwalks. The water level is extremely low,,, many areas are completely dry. Some of you may remember my video I posted earlier this summer of the Turtles I saw from the Boardwalk. This is the worse drought in Massachusetts in 14 years.
I am very concerned for all the wildlife and plants. I have never seen it this bad. This drought is causing major crop damage for the farmers in Massachusetts. I pray we get lots of rain.

A Cape Cod Province Lands Bike Ride
Take a bike ride with me on the Province Lands trail starting from the Cape Cod National Seashore visitor center riding to Herring Cove Beach and then to Race Point Beach. The trail is a 5.45 mile loop through forest and dunes with many hills. The path spur to Herring Cove is 1.1 mile and Race Point is 0.5 off the main path and well worth the journeys.
