Steam boat PS Ruby arrives at Port Wentworth NSW
Heritage Paddle Steamer Ruby was launched in 1907. A recent upgrade to the steam boat's Stephenson Reversing Linkage has given her more power and she burns less wood to cover the same distance.
Watch as she arrives gracefully back in Port Wentworth NSW at the Murray Darling Junction, after the upgrade. She has throttled right back and you can barely hear her passing on the tranquil river. July 24th 2011.

Dee puts a LOT of work into each artwork so here's just a little taste of what goes on around here, set to the music from our upcoming album 'Darling River Meditations'. The song is written and performed by Merrilyn and is called 'The Confluence' - nature sounds were recorded at the junction of the Murray and Darling Rivers and the butcher birds were particularly happy that day.

Murray River Bird aerial video - Golden Cliffs of South Australia - Discover Murray River
South Australia's section of the Murray River has some spectacular limestone and sandstone cliffs you can enjoy. As you drive from Morgan to near Mannum along the Scenic Murray Cliff Drive you'll see some some spectacular sites that really show you how old the ancient river system is. Massive volumes of water during the ice ages carved these ancient cliffs that still contain seashell fossils. The most famous is Big Bend near Nildottie, a 12 kilometre S shaped cliff of inspiring shear drop from top to bottom. Beautiful. Enjoy!
Murray River Bird aerial video - Echuca Moama - Discover Murray River
The Murray River Bird fly's high over the paddle steamer capital of Australia. Echuca Moama is a wonderful and historic region to discover including the Port Of Echuca Discovery Centre! The region is also a haven for thrill seekers that love their water sports. Not far is the spectacular Kingfisher Cruises of the World Heritage Barmah National Park and very narrow Murray River. It's full of bird life and great way to understand the river environment. Enjoy!
West End Mighty River Run for Novita - donate now
This Mighty River Run retrospective captures the spirit of South Australia's longest floating fundraiser, which supports Novita Children's Services (novita.org.au).
2012's will be the sixth annual West End Mighty River Run, with $561,000 having been raised for SA children living with disabilities since its inception in 2007. Boaties will cast off from Blanchetown on 19 November, cruising through Kingston-on-Murray, Berri and Chowilla Station before docking at Renmark.
All money raised this year goes toward a new hydrotherapy pool and intensive rehabilitation complex planned for Novita's Regency Park Centre in Adelaide. It will become one of Australia's leading paediatric rehabilitation therapy centres when built.
Novita provides support to more than 2000 children and young people with disabilities across SA. Through its broader work with families Novita has a positive impact on approximately 10,000 people in the community. It has been doing this work for more than 70 years.

Perry Sandhills
PERRY SANDHILLS
What an epic morning exploring this beautiful piece of history in Wentworth NSW. These sandhills have been around for more than 50 thousand years and were formed when the Darling and Murray rivers flow dropped and sand from the exposed river beds blew into the dunes.
There is an amazing River Red Gum Tree known as 'God Tree' within these dunes (many hundreds of years old) and now the dunes have covered the trunk of the tree by about 4-5 metres so your able to stand in the canopy of the tree which is awesome.
The kids (and us ????) loved running up the dunes and sliding down on the cardboard. Was such a fun day and a must do if passing through the area!!!
If you do visit and slide down the dunes on cardboard or a board of some sort please take it with you. Unfortunately there was so much rubbish there left from others, we did a clean up but it's not hard to take your rubbish with You!

Wentworth a best kept secret in NSW, Australia
The best kept secret in New South Wales is Wentworth, just near Mildura. Stay close to the town and beautiful Darling River, wildlife is prolific and so much to see and do. Perry Sand Hills are amazing and even better at sunset, also easy access to Mungo National Park a must do.

G'day Beautiful Tube of U'ers.
Today we take a look around Wentworth and her surrounding points of interest. She's a windy day in some spots so bare with us.
I found this little town and her history fascinating, not to mention the engineering around the river junction and her locks.
Lastly we come across a very groovy two man duck punt at Willow Bend Caravan and Camp site. Enjoy!

Melbourne Yarra River Cruise to Williamstown Gem Pier - Australia Part 4
Melbourne (Yarra River) & Port Philip Bay Cruise to (Williamstown) (Gem Pier) - Part 4/4
Join me on this exciting Yarra River Boat Cruise continuing towards the Williamstown Gem Pier ( Melbourne Australia) January 2019.
Gem Pier is an historic pier on Port Phillip Bay, in Williamstown, Victoria, Australia. The pier is 145 metres (476 ft) in length and is currently home to the (Williamstown ship museum) - HMAS Castlemaine and Melbourne Seaplanes.
The first pier was built in 1839 near the present-day Gem Pier. Originally known as The Jetty, in 1853 it was renamed Old Pier following the construction of the New Pier (the Ann Street Pier). Throughout the 1860s and 1870s it was known as Steamboat Pier. In the 1870s it was renamed Gem Pier after the paddle steamer Gem that ran a ferry service from Williamstown to Port Melbourne from 1846 to 1886.
The pier was rebuilt in 1992.
