Jennifer Blythe-Lake Ontario 2
Oct. 29, 2012-Here I am at Wilson-Tuscarora park on Lake Ontario. I could walk right up to the water here. The waves and the wind are from Hurrican Sandy. It might not be much compared to the southern states but it's a lot for us in Western New York.

10 People Who Mysteriously Vanished While Traveling.
One of the most famous missing person cases in recent memory involved Natalee Holloway, an 18-year-old American who vanished during a 2005 school trip to the island of Aruba. She has not been seen since.

Steelhead Fishing from Shore in the Niagara River
It's still winter here, though it's relatively warm (above freezing at least) and we're looking for either rainbow trout or steelhead trout. We're in the mighty Niagara River fishing from shore using bobbers and roe bags.

Folklore of the United States
Listening is a more natural way of learning, when compared to reading. Written language only began at around 3200 BC, but spoken language has existed long ago.
Learning by listening is a great way to:
- increases imagination and understanding
- improves your listening skills
- improves your own spoken accent
- learn while on the move
- reduce eye strain
Now learn the vast amount of general knowledge available on Wikipedia through audio (audio article). You could even learn subconsciously by playing the audio while you are sleeping! If you are planning to listen a lot, you could try using a bone conduction headphone, or a standard speaker instead of an earphone.

SUMMARY
=======
Folklore consists of legends, music, oral history, proverbs, jokes, popular beliefs, fairy tales, stories, tall tales, and customs that are the traditions of a culture, subculture, or group. It is also the set of practices through which those expressive genres are shared. The study of folklore is sometimes called folkloristics. In usage, there is a continuum between folklore and mythology.
American folklore encompasses the folk traditions that have evolved on the North American continent since Europeans arrived in the 16th century. While it contains much in the way of Native American tradition, it should not be confused with the tribal beliefs of any community of native people.
