Visiting the Winnipeg Railway Museum
Last weekend the Winnipeg Railway Museum had their annual railway days event, and since I hadn't been for several years, I decided to check it out.
Come along with me for a whirlwind tour.
There's lots of information to pause and read in the video,and a lot of unique equipment and exhibits in their collection (way more than I got video of).
If you're into railroady stuff and you find yourself in Winnipeg, you really want to take a few hours and visit this place.

A short video tour of the St. Vital Museum, located at 600 St. Mary's Road, Winnipeg, MB, R2M 3L5 , Canada.
The St. Vital Historical Society is a non-profit organization established to identify, collect and preserve articles and items related to the history of the St. Vital Community, conduct programs that allow public access to this history, provide a place for the study of St. Vital history (archives), make regular thematic presentations throughout the community such as schools, libraries, senior centres etc., in order to reach a wider population.

With Julia, Katherine and their grandpa. Start from the new Museum of Human Rights, the farmers market, the mall, Children's Museum, the Forks, and drove along the central district of the city.

Abandoned Canadian National Railway St.James Bridge Overview !
A long time ago, CN opened a branch line to northern Manitoba called the Oak Point Subdivision. it ran through from St James Junction in Winnipeg, through towns like Grosse Isle, Warren, Oak Point and finally way up north, Gypsumville. the line was active until Mid October 1996 when CN abandoned the line. The Prairie Dog Central Railway and CP Rail actually managed to save a few miles of the line from inside the St James Industrial area to the Omands Creek Industrial (Now CP`s Oak Point Spur) and PDC from Woodman Junction to Warren Manitoba. the line right of way was sold to companies to build houses and stores on the line. and in the video you can see one of the remaining parts of the line in town ; the St James Bridge.
I actually have done videos of this bridge years before like in 2013 and 2017, but never uploaded them.

ACROSS CANADA BY TRAIN - VIARAIL [ TORONTO - WINNIPEG ]! | Canada VLOG Tag 5
Tag 5 in Kanada, endlich ging es los mit dem Canadian quer durch Canada, doch zunächst mussten wir uns von unserem fast zu gemütlichen Bett und dem all you can eat Frühstücksbuffet verabschieden. Am Bahnhof angekommen war es dann fast so weit, die ewig lange Schlange hinter uns gebracht und in den Zug eingecheckt mussten wir noch gefühlt eine halbe Ewigkeit warten, doch dann kam der Canadian endlich ins Rollen und es ging auf nach Winnipeg. So blieb uns am ersten Tag genug Zeit den Zug ausführlich mit Aussichtsabteil, Schlafwagen und Klo zu erkunden. Viel mehr gab es dann auch nicht zu tun. Am Abend wurde es dank kanadischer Gesellschaftsspiele noch richtig witzig und wir konnten nach einem langen Tag uns auf dem sehr gemütlichen und großzügigen Sitzplatz etwas schlafen legen.

- früh aufstehen, auschecken, Aufbruch zum Bahnhof, anstehen und einchecken, Abfahrt mit dem Canadian, Zugerkundung, schlafen, relaxen, Abendprogramm mit canadischen Gesellschaftsspielen
- Essen: all you can eat Buffet aus dem Hotel, Supermarktfood im Zug
- Unterkunft: Canadian Sitzplatz
