Took my best friend with me to Wisconsin over the '16 summer to get lost in some supreme nature and to see the extended family. What follows is a mesh of videos and photos from the trip. Destinations will be featured below:
0:16 - 0:24 | Apple River : St. Croix, WI.
Super chill river/tributary that spans 77 miles. Ideal for
kiyaking, fishing and boating.
0:50 - 1:02 | Interstate Park, St. Croix Falls, WI / MN border.
Part of the famous glacial trails that runs through western
Wisconsin. Images featured are from the Pothole Trail, WI side.
Hiking trails are really fun, but its what one those pay-to-hike
parks.
1:45 - 2:05 | Devil's Island Sea Caves, Bayfield, WI.
Most famous of the 22 island cluster called Apostle Islands of
Bayfield, WI on Lake Superior. Great ferry tours available to tour
the majority of the islands. If you are an outdoors badass type,
kiyacking tours are also for sale if that's what you enjoy!
2:21 - 2:53 | Madeline Island, Bayfield, WI. The largest island in the
Apostle Islands cluster.Beeeeeautiful island with lots of great
hiking trails. This is the only Island thats mostly settled and
offers some fun activities plus its own bar. You hitch a ride on a
ferry or bring your car if you want to drive across the small island.
3:00 - 3:15 | Octavia Botanical Gardens, Madison, WI. Gorgeous
gardens and a butterfly sanctuary spread out over 16 acres. Best
time for taking in the sights and smells is late spring to early
summer time. Tons of Pokestops all throughout the park, too :P
3:16 - 3:50 | Cave of the Mounds, Blue Mounds, WI. Limestone
cave tucked away in Central Wisconsin. Tons of calcite crystals
can be found all over the cave, complete with many stalagmites
and stalactites. On top of the hill where the cave is located is a
beautiful flower garden.
3:50 - 4:05 | Madison, WI. Beautiful capital city with no skyscrapers
- just tons of shops and good people. Ashton fell in love with
Earthbound Trading Company. If you are hungry, check outPaul's
Pel'meni is a great Russian restaurant. They only serve
dumplings, but they are GOOD.
4:06 - 6:09 | House on the Rock, Spring Green, WI. This place is
best described in gamer terms as if Castlevania and Silent Hill
had a baby. All kinds of weird stuff at this place, including the
Infinity Door, a bigass krakken fighting a whale that spans
several stories tall, and the world's largest indoor carousel.

This show is all about small rivers that have big muskies swimming in their waters. The upper Midwest has a lot of small rivers - one just has to put the time in and big things can happen. Door County Kayak Trip - 2015

Mid-Summer Muskie Fishing in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Well, let's see. There's a village, a city, a lake and a high school all named Pewaukee. What's next, Pewaukee County? Well, John did find Pewaukee the State --- of mind, that is - and it's friendly, fun and relaxing.
Friendly perfectly describes Connie Watt (yep, JJ's mom), the folks at American Transmission Company and the owner and grandson of Century fence. Actually, we could put everyone we met in this category...
But Fun is the only way to describe Silly Willyz!
Relaxing? Well, it was relaxing when John went fishing off the pier at Smokey's Bait shop and puttered around the lake on Loerhke's incredible pontoon boat. But it was not so relaxing when he got the MPTV van towed by Ken Weber, or when he appeared in front of Judge Melissa Murray. It was relaxing when he smelled the alligator (with no alligator in it) meatloaf at the Beer Depot and when he sat back and enjoyed Louie's famous fillet at The Butler Inn of Pewaukee. It was not so relaxing when the firefighter driving the hover boat moved over to let John drive...
