Check Out 'World Of Wings' At:
World of Wings on Tripadvisor:
World of Wings is part of the Cumbernauld Outdoor Centre near Glasgow, Scotland. It is now Scotland's largest bird of prey centre open to the public. They have many different birds, including eagles, vultures, hawks, falcons, owls, kites and some other unusual species of birds such as parrots and a rhea!
The main aims of the centre is to help educate their visitors but at the same time provide an enjoyable day out for all the family. They are heavily involved in conservation and often rescue and rehablitate wild injured birds of prey.
The centre also has a breeding program and works in co-operation with other zoos all of the world. The centre was newly constructed in 2006 and they moved from their previous premises at Chatlehrault Park in Hamilton.

Shelley flying some birds of prey!
The beautiful Shelley Culpepper flying some birds of prey for her birthday at the Strathblane Falconry in Scotland. She flew and/or handled the Harris Hawk, the Eagle Owl, the Kestrel, and the White Faced Scops Owl, among others... It was awesome! Happy birthday, honey :)
Special thanks to Graeme (seen in the video) - the owner, teacher, and Master Falconer at Strathblane Falconry.
Please forgive my amateur filmmaking - I was short on time.

Pair of Red Kites, birds of prey in Mid Wales. 2013
At one time RED KITES were confined to Wales but a reintroduction scheme has brought them back to parts of England and Scotland.
This breeding pair was filmed from my house, near Newcastle Emlyn in Mid-Wales. They can be seen swooping and hunting over the valley daily.
Falconry Demonstration
We are fortunate to have Dan Vinson, a general class falconer on our staff. During this falconry hunt on our grounds, the group followed Dan and his bird as they searched for rabbits, squirrels and other small game. Dan has hunted with a variety of birds including this hawk for more than 5 years.

Take a Falconry Lesson with Me!
We all have our go-to people whom we turn to when we want advice. But sometimes, when we ask people for their opinion, we really just want validation for decisions we’ve already made. In this week’s vlog, come with me on a falconry lesson where I explore the difference.
