Xixi National Wetland Park (Chinese: 西溪国家湿地公园) is a national wetland park in China, located at the west part of Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, a total of 1,150 hectares (2,800 acres). The park is densely crisscrossed with six main watercourses, among which are scattered various ponds, lakes and swamps.
XiXi Wetland has a history of more than 1,800 years and an abundant cultural heritage. It’s the original site of Chinese South Opera; it has a traditional dragon boat contest; it contains the vivid life of a water village, featuring silkworm feeding and silk

Staying In The First Wetland Park In China, Hangzhou.
Me and my family decided to travel around Hangzhou to explore more parts of this beautiful city, we find out this gorgeous place called Xixi Wetland Park which it was the trip that we were looking for, so from 3rd to 5th of September we stayed in the Sheraton Grand Hangzhou Wetland Park Resort. They upgraded our room for Deluxe Suite, knowing that we carry our baby with us, they provided us a bed for her and that was awesome and very convenient to have a good rest. The Resort its just awesome, surrounded in nature make it very special when you wake up and see green everywhere, the food at the feast its delicious and the stuff are very polite and very kind. Hope to come back.
This time we are staying in the Xixi Wetland Park, situated in the western part of Hangzhou, less than 5km (3 miles) from West Lake, Xixi National Wetland Park is a rare urban wetland. With rich ecological resources, simple natural landscape and profound culture, it is known as one of the Three Xi's along with Xihu (West Lake) and Xiling (the Seal Engravers' Society). It is the first and only wetland park in China combining urban life, farming and culture. Xixi National Wetland Park has not only broad open views, but also a variety of water views. Warm and humid, the area enjoys a comfortable climate featuring abundant precipitation and four distinct seasons.
