Savior on Spilled Blood Cathedral, St.Petersburg, Russia
On March 20, Rostislav Bukasov, Olena Filchakova, and Alice and Yunona Bukasova visited the Savior on Spilled Blood Cathedral (Cпас на Kрови) in St.Petersburg. Alfred Parland, was the architect of this cathedral, built in 1883-1907 by order of Alexander III in honor of his father, Alexander II (1818-1881).
Our Visit to Petropalovskiy Cathedral (Петропавловский собор), St.Petersburg
On March 19, 2016, Rostislav Bukasov and Olena Filchakova visited St.Petersburg with their children, Alice and Yunona Bukasova, as a spring break trip. They visited many sites during the 4 days that they stayed there. Petropalovskiy cathedral was one of the first sites they visited. This cathedral contains the tombs of Peter I, great czar of Russia, Katherine II, great czarina of Russia, and the family of czar Nicholas II, as well as the tombs of other czars and czarinas of Russia, such as Katherine I. Dominico Trezini, an Italian architect, built this cathedral in 1712.
My Visit to Zarskoe Selo, St.Petersburg, Russia
On Mar.21, 2016, the third day of my stay in St.Petersburg, I visited Zarskoe Selo, St. Petersburg, a winter palace built by the order of Katherine II, great tsarina of Russia. Inside the Zarskoe Selo is the Amber Room, a world famous chamber decorated with amber panels backed with gold leaves and mirrors. This gift was given by the Prussian king Frederick William I to Tsar Peter I. I visited this beautiful place with my parents, Rostisav Bukasov and Olena Filchakova, as well as my sister, Alice Bukasova.
Petergoff Grand Palace and Park, St. Petersburg, Russia
On Mar. 20, 2016, I visited Petergoff with my parents, Rostislav Bukasov and Olena Filchakova, as well as my sister, Alice Bukasova. The Petergoff Grand Palace was constructed by order of Peter I, grand czar of Russia, as a winter palace. 79 life-size golden statues stand outside the palace, overlooking the park. The fountains only function in the warmer time of year, but the snow-capped view is stunning as well.

St. Issac's Cathedral, St.Petersburg, Russisa
On March 20th,Olena Filchakova, Rostislav Bukasov, and Alice and Yunona Bukasova visited St. Issac's Cathedral. This cathedral is the largest Orthodox cathedral in St. Petersburg, the largest Orthodox basilica in the world, and the fourth largest cathedral in the world. It took 40 years to construct and weighs 300,000 tons. One of its columns weighs 119 tons. The cathedral hosted the marriage of Peter I and Catherine I in 1712.
My First Day in St.Petersburg
On March 19th, I arrived with my parents, Rostislav Bukasov and Olena Filchakova, as well as my sister, Alice Bukasova, in St. Petersburg. St. Petersburg is a beautiful city and we visited many amazing historical sites, such as the Kazanskiy Cathedral, The Petropalovskiy Fortress, and The Kunstkamera museum.

My Visit to the State Russian Museum, St. Petersburg
The State Russian Museum is the largest collection of Russian art in the world. I visited it on March 21, 2016, with my parents, Olena Fichakova and Rostislav Bukasov, and my sister Alice Bukasova . The collections of the museum consist of about 400, 000 exponents.

Our Baltic Journey included the Hardys, Higdons, Lorraine Wilson and Lana Voges. Great excursion while traveling on a Princess Cruise. We highly recommend this trip!

The open air market at Udelnaya, in the north of St Petersburg, is where you'll find the most babushkas you've ever seen in one place, selling their old Soviet wares. You may also find some German war weapons and tools _ and fresh grenades) that collectors have dug up from the battlefields.
