A variety of runs to suit everyone from beginner to expert lie amongst the silvery alpine world.
To the right of the family slope lies the Snow Park. Ride up the snow escalator and slide down the hill in a giant inflatable donut. There is also a play house and other play equipment. Children who don't ski can enjoy the tobogganing plaza.
There's also a natural hot spring, Komakusa no Yu, at Sanroku Ropeway Station at the mountain's base. 7 runs in total.
Yuzawa Onsen.
It’s so nice to soak in hot Onsen water in a hinoki wood bath outside as it snows around you. This one is from yesterday in Yuzawa Onsen.
Mount Akita-Komagatake: An Easy Climb Offering Splendid Views | Nippon.com: Japan in Video
Though its maximum elevation is a modest 1,637 meters, Mount Akita-Komagatake is the highest mountain in Akita Prefecture. It is known for the wealth of alpine plants on its slopes. And those who climb to the main peak are treated to a spectacular panorama. To the west lies ultramarine-colored Lake Tazawa. To the south is Mount Chōkai, with a shape reminiscent of Mount Fuji, straddling the Akita-Yamagata prefectural border. And Mount Iwate, the highest mountain in Iwate Prefecture, rises to the east. On the way to the top, visitors can enjoy the soothing sight of Amida Pond. Nearby is the splendid scenery of a location that has been dubbed as “Moomin Valley.” Another attraction in the area of this mountain is Akita’s Nyūtō Onsenkyō, a collection of hot spring inns nestled in a forest.
Mount Akita-Komagatake is easy to climb. A roadway leads to the visitors’ entrance to the mountain paths, located at Station 8 (one of the 10 stations punctuating the route from the base to the summit), though during the busy summer season passenger cars are excluded and access is by bus. Note that this is an active volcano, and emissions of gas are to be seen in the vicinity of Medake, one of the secondary peaks. Travelers should check in advance for reports of unusual volcanic activity.

A day in Hell’s Valley Vlog #049
This is the last and final video for the 3rd part installment of Hokkaido Escapades Vlog. I went to Noboribetsu after going to Furano and Biei to find out for myself what the fuss is all about this place.
I was speechless and in awe when I saw the Blue Pond, got mesmerized looking at the beautiful rows of flowers in full bloom at Shikisai no Oka. I was blown away by how cute the bears are at the Bear Park.
For this video, I will feature the Oyunuma Brook Foot Bath which is also one of the most visited place in the area and the Hell’s Valley which is volcanic caldera created by the eruption of Mt. Hiyoriyama and is the largest hot spring source in Noboribetsu Onsen.
Jigokudani is a suitable name for a place where scaldingly hot water and powerful jets of steam burst from uncountable hot spring vents and holes, all with a strong, rotten-egg like sulfur smell.
