Yarra Trams at Port Melbourne Railway Station - Alstom Citadis C1, Comeng A Class, D1 Combino
English - The Hobsons Bay Railway Company opened the Port Melbourne Railway Line in 1854. It was the first significant railway in Australia to be built. The line as a railway was closed on the 16th of October 1987 and reopened on the 18th of December 1987 as a tram or light rail service.
Trams still run to Port Melbourne in 2019 as route 109 Port Melbourne to Box Hill via Collins St Melbourne City. The Port Melbourne Railway Station still survives and the tram line terminates beside the station. The railway tracks to Station Pier where the cruise ships dock are long gone and all of the other freight lines and stabling yards have been replaced by housing.
In this video you will see trams around the Port Melbourne Station and the double tracks leading up to the terminus. There is also a short drivers view from Port Melbourne Station through to Graham St which is now a light rail stop and one of the original stations on The Port Melbourne Railway.
Why is the D1 Combino in the video. Combino's don't run to Port Melbourne? D1 3501 was being used as a cruise ship extra service from Southbank. Extra trams are normally rostered when a cruise ship docks at Station Pier.
Have a look at the train drivers view by John Phillips. It will show you how much the area has changed in 30 years. The link is here -

Trams seen in this video:
Comeng Z3 class;
Comeng B2 class;
Siemens Combino D1 class;
Siemens Combino D2 class;

Yarra Trams Australian Formula 1 GP 2018 trams around the Casino
English - Yarra Trams Australian Formula One Grand Prix Trams 2018. On average, the frequency is a tram every minute. This video features shuttle trams for gates 1, 2 and 3 and routes 12 and 109 service trams. Trams were filmed around the Crown Casino area at Port Junction / Clarendon St Junction, Crown Casino and Clarendon St.
The Gate 1 and 2 shuttles through Port Junction are all low floor this year and that's a reflection of the amount of high capacity E class trams now in service. Here you will see E1, E2, C1, and C2 trams along with City Circle W class tram run in trams to Southbank Depot.
The Gate 3 shuttle along Clarendon St is a mix of high floor B2 class trams and the low floor C1 trams.
The view along Clarendon St near Crown Casino gives lots of variety with all classes of trams from each shuttle service pasing through that location.
Filmed 25th March 2018.

4K Yarra Trams Melbourne at Toorak Road Interchange
English - Welcome to trams on Saturday featuring Yarra Trams The Toorak Road Interchange here in Melbourne. The Interchange at Toorak Road replaced the three platform Interchange at Domain Road when that location closed to make way for Metro Tunnel construction.
Anywhere along St Kilda Road is great for many classes of trams. Here you will see the Comeng B2, ABB B2, Comeng Z3, SIemens Combino D1 and Siemens Combino D2. The Comeng A class is a regular feature but not in the video.
There are three platforms. Route 58 to Toorak has it's own platform as it is only one service that turns left onto Toorak Road. This setup ensures no trams along St Kilda Road are delayed by one tram turning left. The middle platform is for all St Kilda Road traveling from the City. All tram routes use the one platform when traveling to the City.
Here's Toorak Road Interchange. If you like the tram content, hit subscribe for weekly tram updates. See you next Friday for more tram updates. Brenden S.

Yarra Trams St Kilda Light Rail at City Road - Before and After Stop Upgrades.
English - Welcome to another tram presentation from Schony747. Tram presentations every Saturday and be sure to subscribe if you like the content for weekly updates.
This feature covers The Melbourne Tram Route 96 St Kilda Light Rail at City Road. After the conversion from heavy rail to a light rail tramway in 1987, 3 extra stops were added to The St Kilda Railway Line. City Road was one of those stops and is the first stop on The St Kilda Light Rail from The City.
The video shows the stop before and after upgrades and the improvements that resulted. In 2014, Siemens Combino D2 trams were still running on route 96. In 2018 when the upgrade took place, E Class are the dominant tram along with the 5 C2 Citadis trams.
Here is City Road. See you next week - Brenden S
