Stega: A Perfect Union is a project in Armenia piloting in the Fall of 2016. The project introduces self-care practices of yoga and meditation to a community of individuals who are creating a healthier, safe and just Armenia. Stega provides free yoga and meditation workshops to our beneficiaries through 6 weeks of workshops. Our goal is to instill these practices for stress relief, wellness, and an overall reduction in burn-out. As first generation Armenian-Americans, co-creators Hasmig Tatiossian and Armen Menechyan, share a deep love for the country, and are happy to work closely with those who already do so much.
This video is only the beginning of a series that will follow our yoga and meditation journey. It shows our arrival in Yerevan, Armenia. It highlights our week of meetings with our partners and beneficiaries, including NGOs, non-profit organizations and local businesses. Hasmig and Armen reflect on the project, talk about mindfulness, and meditation in Armenia. The team takes a day trip to Garni and Geghard where they visit UNESCO heritage sites. The video also gives a peek into the behind-the-scenes work that goes into building Stega. Through this video series, followers and supporters can follow the Stega yoga and meditation journey here in Armenia.

Armenia Fund: Community Center Built in Mushkapat
(Armenian-language video. For the English version, visit
In the spring of 2015, the residents of Mushkapat, a picturesque alpine village in Nagorno Karabakh’s Martuni Region, celebrated the opening of their brand-new community center. The multifunctional facility, comprising the mayor’s office, the post office, a medical clinic, a computer center, and an event hall, was built by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, with donations from French-Armenian benefactors and additional support from the government of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh).
Like scores of other community centers built by the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund across Artsakh and Armenia, Mushkapat’s own has significantly improved the daily lives of villagers, by integrating various services in a central structure and functioning as a wonderful gathering place for the community.

This video features our weekend with Peace Corps Armenia volunteers at SunChild Eco Tours lodge in Urts'Adzor. Everyone got a chance to unwind. There were three yoga sessions, meditation, breathing exercises and many productive discussions. The food was delicious and the company was great. What was meant to be a retreat ended up being an opportunity for us to make great friends. So grateful and fulfilled with this weekend.

We’ve filmed our yoga and meditation practices, documented our trips around Armenia and in Yerevan… but this week we decided to take a break. Here are the behind the scenes bloopers and outtakes from our video series, which we published the past few weeks! Hilarious stuff. Our videographer, Arsen Hovannisyan, never told us he has all these embarrassing clips. We were in the mood for a good laugh and he sent us this. It was too good not to share. See what happens when we ask Armen Menechyan to follow a script. It doesn’t go as planned! Or when Hasmig Tatiossian and Armen try to interact with the village lions…… Interesting. Arsen will have you FALLING off your seat from all that he’s captured! (to see what we mean, watch until the end)
