Yosemite Cemetery in Yosemite National Park
Unknow to many, Yosemite National Park has a Cemetery! This is where a very important pioneer/ranger played a critical role in the development of Yosemite NP. Born in Shipton, Canada East (now Quebec) in 1814, Galen Clark developed a passion for Yosemite when he first visited the area in 1855.
Clark ascended to a critical role in the development of what would eventually become Yosemite National Park. In 1864, President Abraham Lincoln signed the Act of Congress transferring Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove to the State of California as a grant reserved from settlement. Terms of the act required that the State shall accept the Grant upon the express conditions that the premises shall be held for public use, resort and recreation; [and] shall be inalienable for all time. The grant was locally administered by a guardian representing an eight-man board of commissioners. Their first choice for the new position was Galen Clark. Throughout the next 24 years, commissioners came and went but the popular and effective Clark was retained as guardian.

Haunted Warp Zone: Yosemite National Park Cemetery
Last summer, while on a spontaneous road trip to Northern California's Yosemite National Park, we accidentally stumbled upon its historic cemetery. Walking the pathways among these very old graves while immersed in the beauty of the landscape was something truly otherworldly. We conducted a few EVP sessions, and hope to post any possible findings soon. Enjoy and happy hauntings!

YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK CALIFORNIA USA
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK CALIFORNIA USA
Yosemite National Park is a United States National Park spanning eastern portions of Tuolumne, Mariposa and Madera counties in the central eastern portion of the U.S. state of California. The park, which is managed by the National Park Service, covers an area of 747,956 acres (1,168.681 sq mi; 302,687 ha; 3,026.87 km2)[2] and reaches across the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountain chain.Over 3.7 million people visit Yosemite each year: most spend the majority of their time in the seven square miles (18 km2) of Yosemite Valley.Designated a World Heritage Site in 1984, Yosemite is internationally recognized for its spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, giant sequoia groves, and biological diversity. Almost 95% of the park is designated wilderness.Yosemite was central to the development of the national park idea. First, Galen Clark and others lobbied to protect Yosemite Valley from development, ultimately leading to President Abraham Lincoln's signing the Yosemite Grant in 1864. Later, John Muir led a successful movement to establish a larger national park encompassing not just the valley, but surrounding mountains and forests as well—paving the way for the United States national park system.
Yosemite is one of the largest and least fragmented habitat blocks in the Sierra Nevada, and the park supports a diversity of plants and animals. The park has an elevation range from 2,127 to 13,114 feet (648 to 3,997 m) and contains five major vegetation zones: chaparral/oak woodland, lower montane forest, upper montane forest, subalpine zone, and alpine. Of California's 7,000 plant species, about 50% occur in the Sierra Nevada and more than 20% within Yosemite. There is suitable habitat or documentation for more than 160 rare plants in the park, with rare local geologic formations and unique soils characterizing the restricted ranges many of these plants occupy.
The geology of the Yosemite area is characterized by granitic rocks and remnants of older rock. About 10 million years ago, the Sierra Nevada was uplifted and then tilted to form its relatively gentle western slopes and the more dramatic eastern slopes. The uplift increased the steepness of stream and river beds, resulting in formation of deep, narrow canyons. About 1 million years ago, snow and ice accumulated, forming glaciers at the higher alpine meadows that moved down the river valleys. Ice thickness in Yosemite Valley may have reached 4,000 feet (1,200 m) during the early glacial episode. The downslope movement of the ice masses cut and sculpted the U-shaped valley that attracts so many visitors to its scenic vistas today

Yosemite - Part 8 Touring Yosemite Village's Pioneer Cemetery
Prior to this cemetery being erected in the 1870s it was an Indian burial ground used by the natives. Today many of the burials were early pioneers who lived in Camp Curry and Yosemite Village. Allot of the graves are that of children most are carved out of stone found locally. It is a very wonderful historic site in the heart of the Yosemite Valley.

395 HWY, Yosemite, CA. - Road Trip
#yosemite #bigbear #lake #395hwy #camping #travel
Inspired by Josh McNair from Californiathroughmylens.com we purchased his Ebook about the 395 HWY for $5 definitely worth the buy. It's packed full of information of locations to check out while on this long stretch of road.
Reflecting on this road trip a quote by Henry Miller comes to mind One's destination is never a place but a new way of seeing things this is so true. Although Yosemite was our destination we made sure to take the time and stop by anything that caught our attention.
We made several stops to explore campsites, landmarks even a cemetery in Lone Pine. By the time we reached Yosemite it felt like we did so much that it honestly felt like we did more in a few days than we would in a week when we travel elsewhere.
Making sure we had a different experience this time we challenged ourselves to spend as little as possible unless it was necessary. We packed our own food, brought some clothes and blankets and decided on sleeping in our car.
Round trip with gas, food and fees for campsites and Yosemite we spent under $200. Our trip started in Big Bear, CA to Yosemite, CA 3 days total. We loved this trip and plan on doing more soon. Stay tuned ????
Yosemite National Park - Day 4 | RV Adventure
This was our last full day in Yosemite National Park in our RV. We made a tour of Yosemite Village to explore the Yosemite Visitor Center, Ansel Adams Gallery, Yosemite Museum, Indian Village and the Yosemite Cemetery. After that we made the short hike up to the Lower Yosemite Falls. We packed a lot into this day but it was a great family time. This video was filmed on 4/18/2013.

USA: YOSEMITE
The most popular national parks in the United States are in danger of being loved to death. Yosemite in California is a case in point. Almost four million visitors last year brought with them all the problems they left behind in the cities: traffic jams, pollution and increasingly - crime. The problem for park managers is - how to maintain public access to this magnificent area without destroying it.

Creepiest Haunted Places in CALIFORNIA
Subscribe to American Eye
California is the countries most populated state known for movie stars, gold mining, beautiful coastlines and scary haunted stuff that will keep you up at night. From one of the countries most haunted houses located in san diego, to haunted locations in Yosemite national park, here are the creepiest haunted places in california.
5.Queen Mary, Long Beach
This large boat that sits in Long Beach looks like a smaller version of the titanic which already makes it pretty creepy. Add in some rumors about it being haunted and it’s sure to make our list. The historic ship has an important role during american history and is known for transporting more than 800 thousand troops across the atlantic. It currently sits in the harbor and operates as a floating hotel. And while attracting many living guests, it also seems to attract some supernatural guests as well. There are currently an estimated 150 known spirits the lurk around onboard. Over the past 60 years, there have been a recorded 49 people who went diseased. Many claim the engine room is one of the most haunted spots and during the filming of a movie, door number 13 claimed two lives when it fell over. There have also been sitings of ghosts of women wearing 1930’s swim gear to the pool.
4.Hotel Del Coronado
Another mysteriously haunted hotel in southern california makes our list and it’s actually one of the most iconic buildings in the city of San Diego. It’s the 2nd largest wooden structure made in the united states and displays a unique victorian style of architecture. It first opened in 1888 as the largest hotel resort in the world making it suitable for presidents, royalty and more celebrities. However, not everyone who came here rested in peace. A 24 year old woman who was desperately seeking love by the name of kate morgan checked in but never checked out. Her husband had recently went astray and was hoping for some intimate company with a suitable gentleman. After a while she became frustrated and was described as acting like she was ill and depressed. Eventually she chose to take her life one night at the hotel while some still argue foul play was to blame. The room where the incident took place is now one of the most requested rooms at the hotel where many guests have experienced flickering lights, mysterious breezes, and strange odors and sounds come randomly.
3.Point Big sur Lighthouse
California has many beautiful beaches but sometimes the building near them can become haunted. Such is the case for point sur lighthouse which is often described as one of the most haunted places in california. It’s believed to be haunted by many sailors who lost their lives during shipwrecks along the coast. It’s been featured on shows such as Ghost Adventures, so you know it’s legit! Located in Northern California on a volcanic rock, tours are only available early in the morning during the weekend. Is that because more ghosts come out at night? It really seems like it would be a creepy place to be late at night.
2.Sharon Tate House
10050 Cielo Drive was the address where one of the world’s most heinous and violent crimes took place in american history. It was here actress Sharon Tate and four others were discovered by police after his followers got a hold them. Even some frightening messages were even left in blood on the walls.Charles Manson had a frightening influence over his followers. He had his cult followers do the dirty work for him. He was the founder of what was called the Manson Family, which was a group of hippies in the 1960’s. He was found guilty of conspiracy to commit the homicide of seven people including the infamous crime scene at Roman Polanski’s mansion, which has now been demolished since 1994. The final resident of the original house was the musician from 9 inch nails, Trent Reznor
Before we get to our number one, we’d like to ask you guys do you think you could live in a house where horrible things took place if it was up for sale on a huge discount. Let us know your thoughts in the comment section and maybe we’ll feature you in an upcoming video

Strange Alien Stick-like creatures caught on security camera above Fresno in Yosemite National Park
Click 480p for best Quality! A retired couple was having trouble with break-ins in their Yosemite private property and aimed their security camera at the driveway to video visitors. They caught these things on their security camera and called me over to see because they know I am interested in the paranormal. They gave me this digital copy but I can't figure out what the crap they are! They remind me of the Fresno Stick-like creatures but they seem to transfer weight and there are two here. Is one a baby? What are these!? Nightcrawlers? Stickmen? Something new? What?
