Yosemite Valley - Chapel - Yosemite National Park
The Yosemite Chapel, a New England style church, is the oldest structure in Yosemite Valley. It was designed by San Francisco Architect Charles Geddes and was built in 1879. The Chapel seats 250. It was originally located at the base of the Four Mile Trail but it was moved to its present location in 1901. In 1965, The National Park Service gave the church Historic American Building status and it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973. Weekly worship services are held here and it can be booked for weddings and memorial services.

Met overseas, married at Yosemite! Ashley + Jordan's Wedding at Yosemite Valley Chapel Yosemite Park

Ashley and Jordan.. Where do we even start?!
We were so fortunate that Ashley and Jordan asked us to film their wedding day! Not only did we get to film their wedding day, but we also got to make their Story of Us video! We loved getting to listen in as they shared many stories, laughs and tears of love and joy. After 7 years of being together, joining the peace corps and traveling to 19 countries later, the couple finally decided to exchange their vows to one another at Yosemite National Park. They have both been all over the world, but they each knew that they wanted to get married at Yosemite, which is their favorite place on earth. From the location of their wedding, to the guests that showed up, to the speeches that were given, we could tell that Ashley and Jordan are loved by so many people! Every detail of their day was sentimental and thoughtful. We might have shed a tear or two when Jordan opened his gift from Ashley. Ashley's bouquet was so unique, as it included paper flowers that were made from a map! The paper mixed in with live flowers and their decor was absolutely beautiful. They had pictures of all of the places they had traveled together, as well as passport programs and luggage tags for all of their guests! We love that their personalities shined so bright on their big day! Jordan was so excited to marry Ashley and their first look definitely showed it. He had even told his grandpa years before they had started dating that he should marry Ashley, and we are so happy that we got to be a part of it! We absolutely love a good love story like theirs!
We will you all the best, Ashley and Jordan! Congratulations!

Yosemite - Part 51 - 2014-07-11
The Yosemite Valley Chapel was built in the Yosemite Valley of California
in 1879. It is the oldest standing structure in Yosemite National Park.
The wooden chapel was designed by San Francisco architect Charles Geddes in the Carpenter Gothic style. It was built by Geddes' son-in-law, Samuel Thompson of San Francisco, for the California State Sunday School Association, at a cost of three or four thousand dollars.
The chapel was originally built in the Lower Village as called then, its site at the present day trailhead of the Four Mile Trail . The chapel was moved to its present location in 1901, as the old Lower Village dwindled.

Tyler + Elle asked us to accompany them on their wedding adventure. What started as a small, family-only ceremony in their home city of Chicago culminated in an epic adventure to arguably the most beautiful place in the U.S. We woke up at 3 a.m. for their first look at Glacier Point, and I'm pretty sure it was one of the most spectacular scenes I've laid eyes on in my short 26 years of life. We were surrounded by amazing people the whole trip, and we were so honored to be such an integral part of their wedding. They're some of the best, and we're so stoked with how this film turned out! Thanks for watching!

Road Trip #18 Yosemite National Park
This video was captured over 2 days spent at Yosemite National Park in California in June, 2014. Starting at the east entrance from Lee Vining, CA, we drove over Tioga Pass and got the first amazing views of Half Dome. Once in the Yosemite Valley, we spent most of the time along the river and in Yosemite Village. To finish off the trip, we went to the incredible Glacier Point at sunset.

Yosemite National Park: Panorama of Yosemite Valley at Churchbowl Meadow
A snow storm has decorated the Yosemite Valley at Churchbowl Meadow. The cliffs are frosted with white snowy cream. The air temperature is cold...well around 28 or so...and people are around playing or building meadow snowmen. You can see Glacier Point, Yosemite Falls, Lost Arrow, Royal Arches, Washington Column, and Half Dome....all it still and snowy.

By placing Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove under federal protection in 1864, Abraham Lincoln paved the way for what would later become California's Yosemite National Park. See the tallest waterfall in North America, massive sequoia trees in Mariposa Grove, and endless wildlife throughout the park. From mountainous vistas to valleys of wildflowers, it is clear why this sprawling wilderness has awed and inspired the likes of John Muir and Ansel Adams.
