The main attractions in Los Angeles include Knott's Berry Park, the Aquarium of the Pacific and, of course, Disneyland. Rodeo Drive, in the heart of Beverly Hills, is the world's most expensive and exclusive shopping area.
Hollywood is the epicenter of the world's entertainment industry. Highlights are the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Grauman's Chinese Theater. Griffith Park is America's largest and wildest urban park. Perched high on the slopes of Mount Hollywood, you'll find the Griffith Observatory here.
West Hollywood is a haven for artists and designers. As evening falls, head to the iconic clubs of Sunset Strip, such as The Viper Room and Whiskey a Go Go.

Watch more How to Visit Los Angeles videos:
Planning a trip to Los Angeles? Learn about the top six neighborhoods to visit and what makes them special in this travel video. Los Angeles is almost as big as the entire state of Rhode Island, so leave yourself plenty of time to explore.
The entire city of Los Angeles is about as big as the entire state of Rhode Island, and you’ll want to see it all!
Start in downtown LA, where you can visit the Museum of Contemporary Art, the theater district, or the oldest part of the city on Olvera Street.
Then head over to Hollywood, LA’s most famous neighborhood and the heart of the entertainment industry. Search for your favorite stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame or take a tour of the Paramount Pictures studios.
For even more glitz and glamour, get over to Beverly Hills. A city in its own right, Beverly Hills has earned its reputation as a home to the rich and famous. Go shopping -- or just window-shopping -- in the decadent and beautiful high-end stores and boutiques on Rodeo Drive.
When you’re tired of the city, visit Pasadena for more of a small-town feel and a thriving cultural scene. Visit the museums and enjoy some fantastic dining --- Julia Child was born in Pasadena, and the restaurants there live up to her legacy.
You could also head out to Santa Monica and relax on the famous beach and pier, complete with carnival games and rides.
The beach and boardwalk in Venice are also popular and offer the iconic LA beach scene. The canals in Venice are made to mimic the ones in the Italian city this neighborhood was named for and they're worth the visit all on their own.
Whether you want excitement or relaxation, glamour or culture, there's a place in Los Angeles for you.

About Downtown Los Angeles:
Downtown Los Angeles is the central business district of Los Angeles, California, as well as a diverse residential neighborhood of some 58,000 people. A 2013 study found that the district is home to over 500,000 jobs.[2]
A heritage of the city's founding in 1781, Downtown Los Angeles today is composed of different areas ranging from a fashion district to a skid row, and it is the hub of the city's Metro rapid transit system. Banks, department stores and movie palaces at one time drew residents and visitors into the area, but the district declined economically and suffered a downturn for decades until its recent renaissance starting in the early 2000s: old buildings are being modified for new uses, and skyscrapers have been built. Downtown Los Angeles is known for its government buildings, parks, theaters and other public places.
By 1920, the city's private and municipal rail lines were the most far-flung and most comprehensive in the world in mileage, even besting that of New York City. By this time, a steady influx of residents and aggressive land developers had transformed the city into a large metropolitan area, with Downtown LA at its center. Rail lines connected four counties with over 1,100 miles (1,800 km) of track.[5]
During the early part of the 20th century, banking institutions clustered around South Spring Street, forming the Spring Street Financial District. Sometimes referred to as the Wall Street of the West,[6] the district held corporate headquarters for financial institutions including Bank of America, Farmers and Merchants Bank, the Crocker National Bank, California Bank & Trust, and International Savings & Exchange Bank. The Los Angeles Stock Exchange was also located on the corridor from 1929 until 1986 before moving into a new building across the Harbor (110) Freeway.[7]
Commercial growth brought with it hotel construction—during this time period several grand hotels, the Alexandria (1906), the Rosslyn (1911), and the Biltmore (1923), were erected—and also the need for venues to entertain the growing population of Los Angeles. Broadway became the nightlife, shopping and entertainment district of the city, with over a dozen theater and movie palaces built before 1932.
Department stores also opened flagship stores downtown, including The Broadway, Hamburger & Sons, May Company, JW Robinson's, and Bullock's, serving a wealthy residential population in the Bunker Hill neighborhood. Numerous specialty stores also flourished including those in the jewelry business which gave rise to the Downtown Jewelry District. Among these early jewelers included the Laykin Diamond Company (later becoming Laykin et Cie [8]) and Harry Winston & Co. both of which found their beginnings in the Alexandria Hotel at 5th and Spring Streets.
The Los Angeles Union Passenger Terminal (Union Station) opened in May, 1939, unifying passenger service among various local, regional and long-distance passenger trains. It was built on a grand scale and would be one of the last of the Great Railway Stations built in the United States.

Hey Dads,
I stayed at the West Los Angeles Airport hotel while I was in Los Angeles, California at VidSummit, a YouTube Conference. While I was there I got this hotel room review video and did a hotel room tour video so that I can show you what you get when you stay at the Westin Los Angeles Airport Hotel.
I was here for 4 days and 3 nights, and I really enjoyed my night's here. The bed was really comfortable and the water pressure in the hotel shower was great. There was plenty of hot water and there's also plenty of storage space to put all of your travel essentials.
I like to unpack my suitcases when I get to a hotel and as I use the clothes in the bag I put them back into the suitcase that way when my stay is over the bag is packed. This hotel room has plenty of drawers and other storage for your belongings.
What is the best hotel that you have ever stayed at? Let me know in the comments below which one it was and where it's located. Would also love to hear what your experience was like there.
This is my authentic, unedited review and room tour of the Westin Los Angeles Airport hotel room. If you like my review videos, consider subscribing, and let me know in the comments what you want this dad to review next.

Disneyland Tips: 10 Things To Know Before You Go To Disneyland
Things YOU need to know before you visit Disneyland in Anaheim California. First, buy your Disneyland tickets in advance. The worst place to buy tickets is at the front gate. The front gate ticket booths always have long lines, and they are the most expensive. EXPAND DESCRIPTION FOR MORE.
2. Theme Park Layout - Two Theme Parks, Disneyland and California Adventure. Downtown Disney with shopping and hotels.
3. When to go to avoid crowds - Avoid Christmas and the height of the summer. Use a crowd tracker website to gauge how busy it will be. Rainy days are awesome! Mornings are the least busy.
4&5. Food - My favorite food item at Disneyland is the Earl's Club Sandwich at the Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney. In the Disneyland Theme Park my favorite is the fried chicken at the Plaza Inn. I also enjoy the corn dogs, and the gumbo.
6. Lines & Rides - Yes, you will be waiting in lines when you come to Disneyland. Make smart use of the fast pass. For $10 extra a day you can buy a Max Pass which lets you get fast-passes from your mobile phone.
7. Stroller Parking - Designated stroller parking, but don't leave any valuables on the strollers.
8. Shows - Disneyland has great shows, but one of the neatest things about the park are the pop-up shows, parades, bands. Enjoy them! Fantasmic and World of Color are the big shows.
9. Shopping - Coolest gift shops are in New Orleans. Many stores have unique items in them -- so if you like shopping visit all the stores.
10. Downtown Disney - some of the best restaurants are here, movie theater, and 2 hotels.
