One of the most interesting transit system that I have ever experienced: the Yutorito Guideway Bus system in the city of Nagoya, Japan. The entire rapid bus route is operated along a track on a transit-dedicated bridge! Similar to the idea of skytrain in Vancouver, BC, except buses are operated instead of trains! This is the only guideway bus system in Japan.

2001年，日本首条混合了路面巴士和轨道交通的名古屋导轨巴士线路开通，在拥挤的进城路段，以6.5公里的全高架轨道模式运行，巴士依靠四个导向轮挤压导轨实现转向，司机双手离开方向盘，仅控制换挡和加减速，同时遵循铁道的手指口呼。到了郊区，巴士回到普通路面，司机跟驾驶普通巴士没有区别。所以，这条线路的司机必须持有铁道和巴士两种驾照。

This is Yutori-to line, Nagoya-guideway-bus. The line consists of the guided bus segment on a viaduct dedicated track in central Nagoya and the ordinary bus segment on public road. Vehicles go directly between the two segments. It manages the guideway facilities and cars, while Nagoya Municipal Bus operates buses on the line. This is the only guided bus line in Japan. The line is legally considered as a sort of railway, like monorails or automated guideway transits in the country.
