the Scraper!
Where else in Dallas, TX can you whip 165 feet into the air at fighter jet speeds? It’s only happening at Zero Gravity Thrill Park.
The Skyscraper is our newest thrill ride, and fans have already voted it one of the top things to do in Dallas-Forth Worth. To start, we strap you and a friend into one end of a towering 165-foot propeller. Before long, the massive windmill picks up serious speed, up to 60 mph in just seconds. By the time Skyscraper reaches maximum velocity, you’ll be subjected to an incredible Four G’s of force. That’s more than a space shuttle takeoff!
As you come down from the adrenaline rush, we slow it up and treat you to a mesmerizing view of the Dallas skyline from 165 feet off the ground.
Skyscraper accommodates up to 4 riders at a time, making it one of the most extreme Dallas area attractions for groups and families.
Still search Dallas things to do this weekend? Didn’t think so.

Skyscraper ride @ Zero Gravity, Dallas TX
Skyscraper ride @ Zero Gravity, Dallas TX on 3rd Jan-2010.
The Skyscraper is a towering propeller with cockpits on both ends, offering a very fast exhilarating and extreme experience. The ride accommodates a total of 4 riders, who are seated on each end of the 80 foot windmill-like arms.
As the Skyscraper starts and begins to take off, the arms start to spin and reach speeds up to 60mph. Guests whip through the air, feeling the same force as pulling 4Gs in a fighter jet.

Drop Tower: Scream Zone off-ride HD Kings Island
This is one of two Intamin giant gyro drop towers located in the USA. The other one is at Kings Dominion in Virginia. Although both look alike, there are quite a few differences. At 315 feet (96m) , this one is 10 feet (3m) taller than the one at Kings Dominion and this one rotates on the ascent to the top whereas the other does not. Even though this one is taller, the one in Virginia has an eight foot (2.4m) longer drop because the brakes are located lower down on the tower. This also gives the one at Kings Dominion a greater top speed of 72 mph (116 km/h), compared to 67 mph (108 km/h) for this one.
Be sure to check out the on-ride POV video of this ride we posted on our channel:
Kings Island is located near Cincinnati in Mason, Ohio.
