Yamanouchi (Kita-Kamakura) and Kamakura are particularly beautiful in late Spring and can be conveniently accessed via Japan Rail from Yokohama.
Our video tour takes us from an overcast Yokohama to sunny Yamanouchi, where we regard Engakuji & Jochiji Temples. We move through Genjiyama Park to contemplate the amazing Great Buddha.
We wittness a traditional marriage ceremony at the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and complete our Kamakura visit at Kenchoji, Zuisenji & Hokokuji Temples.
Back in Yokohama we perambulate the Sankei-en Garden where friendly cats bid us farewell.

Kamakura 鎌倉市 is a city located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, about 50 kilometres south-south-west of Tokyo.
Hase Station 長谷駅 is a railway station on the Enoshima Electric Railway 江ノ島電鉄 Enoden.
Hase-dera 長谷寺 (known more formally as Kaikōzan Jishōin Hase-dera 海光山慈照院長谷寺 is one of the great Buddhist temples in the city, famous for housing a massive wooden statue of Kannon.
Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū 鶴岡八幡宮 is the most important Shinto shrine in the city of Kamakura, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The shrine is at the geographical and cultural center of the city of Kamakura
2016 鎌倉瑞泉寺の紅葉(4K) Autumn Colors At Zuisenji Temple In Kamakura(UHD)
12月6日に鎌倉の瑞泉寺を訪問し、紅葉風景を撮影しました。9月の長雨や温暖な気候のせいか、もみじの色が赤くなりきれていません。それでも、お寺の雰囲気が素晴らしく、またもみじの木も古くて立派なので、見応えが有ります。もみじが本当に赤く色づいたらさぞや綺麗だろうと想像されます。
Autumn Color scenes at Zuisenji temple in Kamakura were shot on December 6th. The color of the maple trees were not red enough compared to the good years, but the atmosphere of the temple and the huge maple trees created beautiful scenes.

Engaku-ji ( built in 1282) is one of the most important Zen Buddhist temple complexes in Japan and is ranked second among Kamakura's Five Mountains.
Kencho-ji Temple Established in 1253, this temple was the first Zen dojo (school) in Japan.

Myohonji Temple, Kamakura - Japan
Myohonji is one of several temples of the Nichiren Shu of Japanese Buddhism along the hills in the southeast of Kamakura. The temple was founded by Hiki Yoshimoto in 1260, and features a statue of Nichiren.
The temple is connected via a hiking trail with some other nearby temples and a shrine. It leads through the wooded hills of Kamakura, and should be explored only with good walking shoes and during dry weather, because there are a few steep and rough passages.
