Rostock is the largest city in the north German state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Rostock is on the Warnow river; the district of Warnemünde 7 miles north of the city center is directly on the Baltic Sea coast.
This is the third port on my eleven day Baltic cruise on the Emerald Princess. In this video I visit St. Mary's Church and Market Square in Rostock before returning to the ship in Warnemünde for the sail away.

Wachstum und Investitionen im Rostocker Hafen: Halbjahresbilanz von Rostock Port
Die Rostock Port GmbH zog am 5. Juli Bilanz für die erste Jahreshälfte des größten Hafens an der deutschen Ostseeküste. Auf dem Fahrgastschiff „Rostocker 7“ präsentierten die Geschäftsführer bei einer Fahrt durch den Hafen die Halbjahres-Ergebnisse. Der Rostocker Hafen verzeichnete ein Umschlags-Plus von 2,3 Prozent und investierte bis Ende Mai 2019 rund 15 Millionen Euro in Bauvorhaben.

Warnemünde is a German port town on the Baltic Sea, near Rostock. It's known for its long beachfront and marina, a cruise-ship stop. Nearby, the Alter Strom canal is lined with shops and fishing boats. The white fine sand beach is very awesome.

First Ship Bunkered with LNG at Rostock Port
GAZPROM Germania GmbH has supplied a ship with liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the port of Rostock, Germany – the first LNG bunkering ever in the southern Baltic Sea.
The M.V. Greenland, a 110-metre cement carrier operated by the Norwegian shipping company KGJ Cement AS, was the vessel bunkered in coordination with the shipping agent Sartori & Berger in the early hours of 27 February. To make this possible, the natural gas was cooled to -160 °C and transported to Rostock by road tanker.
The event demonstrated that Germany’s largest Baltic Sea port is capable of bunkering ships with LNG.
