  • 1. Labadi Pleasure Beach Accra
    Labadi Beach or more properly known as La Pleasure Beach is the busiest beach on Ghana's coast. It is one of Accra's beautiful beaches and is maintained by the local hotels. Labadi Beach is in a town called La near Teshie in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. An entrance fee to those not staying the hotels is charged. On holidays and weekends there are often performances of reggae, hiplife, Playback, and cultural drumming and dancing. As of 2014, the beach is still under intense scrutiny from the community to alleviate the ongoing issue of open defecation present on the beach. Proposals to build additional designated sanitation facilities to accommodate the issue have been brought to the attention of the local council, and hotels near the beach.

  • 3. Kokrobite Beach Accra
    Kokrobite is a town along the Atlantic coast, 30 km to the west of Accra the capital city of Ghana. It is known for traditional sea fishing, its white-sand beaches and its lively nightlife. Kokrobite is a popular destination for tourists, backpackers and international volunteers seeking beaches and a break from the busy capital city.Kokrobite has a population of between 4000 and 6000 according to the Ghana Statistics Department 2003 Survey. The main local dialect is Ga, but Twi and English are also widely spoken.

  • 5. Sakumono Tema
    Sakumono is a small town before Nungua from Ashaiman. It is in the Tema Metropolitan district, a district in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was originally a small fishing village on a lagoon, but by 2008 is being swallowed up as the twin cities of Nungua and Tema merge. Elevation is 71m. Sakumono is one of the interesting towns, also known as Community 13. It has the main township which is close to the beach and lagoon. Has a lot of sects of Estate buildings and jurisdiction.
