    The Hipódromo de San Isidro is a horse racing track located in San Isidro, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is owned by the Jockey Club. It was inaugurated on 8 December 1935 and is one of the largest in the Americas. The Hipódromo is located 22 km from Buenos Aires City. It has an area of 1.48 km². The grass track is 2,783 m long and 45 m wide, allowing for thousand-metre races without turns . There is an inner sand track, inaugurated in 1994, which measures 2,590 m in length by 31 m in width. The covered surface amounts to 32,000 m² and allows for an attendance of about 100,000 . Each December the Hipódromo hosts the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini, the most important horse race in Argentina.
