Is a waterfall located in Fajã Grande, municipality of Lajes das Flores, island of Flores, archipelago of the Azores in Portugal.
It presents itself as a cascade with a waterfall that falls by about 90 meters in height.
As the average cycle of natural storage in water aquifers in the Azores, around 6 months, this cascade very abundant in the rainiest seasons, sees during the summer season its water level becomes smaller to the point that it dissipates in the Form a thick, heavy and abundant haze in its precipitation on the way to the ground where the waters settle in a natural lagoon surrounded by natural and endemic vegetation, the well-known laurissilva of Macaronesia.

Rocha dos Bordões
Is a geological formation, characterized by huge columns of basalt, located in the site called Cabo Baixo das Casas, in the parish of Monastery, municipality of Lajes das Flores.
It is an imposing unique geological accident of its kind in the Azores, characterized by the solidification of the basaltic rock into tall vertical prismatic columns with elongated shape.
This formation will have been formed within a volcanic cone that for thousands of years has been subjected to an erosive process by the elements exposing its interior.
The Rocha dos Bordões can be seen from the road that surrounds it, especially from the Miradouro da Rocha dos Bordões, from where you have a privileged view of this natural monument and which is a point of observation highly sought after by lovers of nature photography.
This geosite is a priority for the geoconservation strategies of the Azores Geopark, it has national relevance and scientific, pedagogical and geotouristic interest.
