How best to spend our final 2 days in Pohnpei, Federated States of Micronesia?
Well we... got a bit stuck in a car on the way to Lududuhniap Falls... checked out a softball field with some serious history... ate even more doughnuts... generally wandered around Kolonia... and to cap it all off, hung out with our new friend Lee, who helped us solve the mystery of the missing WWII tanks.
Epic two week trip to Pohnpei done.

If you're looking for a lesser known, off the grid, destination for adventure, Pohnpei in the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) should be added to your bucket list for 2018 and beyond!
Infamous for its surfing, it also has amazing diving and snorkeling, kayaking, standup paddle boarding, hiking - you've got to do the Six Waterfalls Hike - as well as the magical ancient ruins of Nan Madol, waterfalls and tons of WW2 history.

FSM - Pohnpei - Kinakapw Yam Harvest Ceremony
Each year, at the beginning of the yam harvest, all villagers of Kinakapw (one of the 37 villages of Madolenihmw Kingdom on Pohnpei) meet with their chief to celebrate the new yam season and to insure a good following yam season.

FSM - Pohnpei - Around Island Attractions
If there is a road going around the whole island, how could you resist driving on it to discover the attractions the island offers? We toured the island clockwise and visited the many small attractions available. Some sites like Nan Madol and long hikes are best done on different days otherwise you won't have time to finish the circumnavigation in one day! We included the town of Kolonia at the beginning and the end of this island tour but you can also do these sightseeings on a different day.

If you like to get away from Kolonia and the mainland for a day or even a few days, you can go to some of the small outlying islands at the edge between Pohnpei lagoon and the vast ocean. The easiest way to experience outer-islands atmosphere and basic way of life. Just a short drive followed by a short boat trip from Kolonia. Contact the Pohnpei Visitors Bureau to get the contact info from the diffrent getaway islands managers. Filmed in April 2012.

MICRONESIA 2013 - Outreach in Daini
Our missionary team partnered with Every Home for Christ at an evangelistic crusade on Daini street in Kolonia, Pohnpei. There was singing, action choruses, dramas, testimonies, preaching and a time of ministry where many were saved and healed.
