    Rugova Canyon or Rugova Gorge is a river canyon near Peć in Western Kosovo, in the Prokletije mountains, close to the border with Montenegro. With a length of 25 km and a depth up to 1,000 meters, Rugova is considered to be one of Europe's longest and deepest canyons. It was created by water erosion and the retreat of the Peć glacier. The Peć Bistrica river cuts through the canyon.In 1985, Rugova Canyon was declared a protected monument of natural heritage due to its geological, hydrological, speleological and botanic values and its spectacular landscape.

The term via ferrata is used in most countries and languages except notably in German-speaking countries including Switzerland and Austria, which use Klettersteig .   • 4. White Drin Waterfall Pec
    The White Drin Waterfall is a waterfall in the western part of Kosovo. It is located in the Žljeb mountain in the Prokletije in the village of Radavc, 11 km away from the town of Peć. The waterfall is located at the mouth of the White Drin river and is 25 m high. Mountainous scenery surrounds the waterfall and makes it a popular tourist attraction throughout Kosovo. Other smaller waterfalls are near the area. The waterfall, together with the cave and the spring of White Drin River is taken under legal protection in 1983, as nature monument due to its geomorphological, hydrological and touristic values with a surface of 89.94 ha .

  • 5. Mirusha Waterfalls Klina
    Mirusha is a regional park located in the central part of Kosovo on the eastern side of the Dukagjin plain. The area has been put under protection in 1975 as a special nature reserve, with an area of 190.21.55 ha by a decision of municipality of Rahovec and Klina. Due to its geoheritage values, specific landscapes, as well as high plant diversity, in 1982 it was declared a regional park in the fifth category according to IUCN, with an area of 555.80.70 ha, stretching on three municipalities: Klina, Malisheva and Rahovec.One year later in 1983 due hydrological, geo-morphological and landscape values, the water flow of river Mirusha has also been put under protection in third category according to IUCN. Its area consist of 11.97,29 ha and belongs to Rahovec and Klina municipalities.

The majority of Ljuboten, the north side, north-west, east side and south east, are within the borders of Kosovo.     Germia is a regional park located in the north-east of Pristina, Kosovo, and covers an area of 62 square kilometres. This mountain massif is a part of the Rhodope Mountains, which lie from the Black Mountain of Skopje to Kopaonik mountains.
