Mahé, natively known as Mayyazhi, is a small town at the mouth of the Mahé River and is surrounded on all sides by the State of Kerala. The Kannur District surrounds Mahé on three sides and Kozhikode District from one side. Formerly part of French India, Mahé now forms a municipality in Mahé district, one of the four districts of the Union Territory of Puducherry. Mahé has one member in the Puducherry Legislative Assembly.

    Thottada Beach is situated on Kannur-Tellichery highway 8 km away from Kannur Railway station in Kannur District between Kannur town and Thalassery in Kerala state, South India. The Sree Narayana College , Government Vocational Higher Secondary School Kannur Polytechnic, Kannur ITI and the Institute of Handloom and Textile Technology are located in Thottada. Thottada is also a scenic village. Thottada beach is an ideal place for a sunbathing and swimming. There are a beach house and guest houses offering accommodation at reasonable price.

  • 2. Overbury's Folly Thalassery
    Overbury's Folly is a seaside park with a watch tower. It is located less than a kilometer from Thalassery, a commercial town on the Malabar Coast in the Kannur district, Kerala, India. It is named after its builder, E.N. Overbury, who served as a local judge at Thalassery in the 1870s. In 1879, Overbury wanted to construct a picnic area at the cliff. He couldn't complete it, but the spot later earned the name Overbury's Folly. It commands sweeping views of the Arabian Sea. Today, Overbury's Folly has been renovated and redecorated as a tourist attraction. It is frequented by local people in the evenings as a place to relax and watch the sun set. A seaside open-air coffee shop has also been opened there.
