The airport grounds are treated as their own suburb, and share the postcode 3194 with the neighboring suburb of Mentone. With a total of 274,082 aircraft movements, Moorabbin Airport was the second busiest airport in Australia for the calendar year 2011.

    Karkarook Park is a metropolitan park in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. An artificial wetlands and lake created by extracting sand between 1997 and 2001, it is located on Warrigal Road in Moorabbin. Fishing is possible, with redfin perch and rainbow trout reported.Prior to sand removal, Karkarook Park and adjacent areas were largely used as a storm-water retarding basin and for market gardens and horse agistment.In 2011, the Victorian government released plans for Karkarook Park to be joined up with nearby parks in the south-east green wedge to form a chain of parks. Parks in the south-east to be connected include Braeside Park.

    Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park is a 25-acre biopark within the Pearcedale Conservation Park located at Pearcedale on the Mornington Peninsula near Melbourne, Australia. It aims to display the fauna that was found in the Mornington Peninsula and Western Port Biosphere Reserve prior to European settlement as well as working towards the recovery of threatened Australian fauna. The park is open all year except on Christmas Day. The sanctuary, as part of Pearcedale Conservation Park, is an institutional member of the Zoo and Aquarium Association . It is ECO Certified at the Ecotourism level by Ecotourism Australia.
