We Tried Egypt Street Food | Must Eat Local Dishes in Cairo

Trying Egyptian Food in Cairo - it's our second day here in Cairo, Egypt and we thought we would head on out to try some of the local Egyptian and Middle Eastern Food.

To get our pallet ready we tried Ma'An Sulta (Salad water), before getting some prickly fruit from a street food cart. We then headed to Felfela, a famous restaurant here in Cairo to have some Turkish coffee, Shorbet 'ads (lentil soup), baba ganoush (eggplant dip), ful, besara and Betinjan Maqli.

On the way to our next restaurant we tried arabic coffee for the first time, hibiscus juice as well as some white Egyptian Sobia drink before trying some home cooked Bamya.

Before we tried the most famus Egyptian dish, we had some Baskote Yansoon as we made our way towards the end of downtown to try Koshari...I am not sure how we had space for desert but managed to squeeze in Konafa, Basbousa and more...we are officially full!

krystollartey, the Olympic Champion and Kalilah, the Hollywood movie star and Academy Award Nominee, came to Egypt to spend the New Year Eve of 2016 at Pyramids..

They fell in love with Egypt and - thankfully - agreed to shoot this short movie to support Tourism in Egypt.

Ehabshoukry decided to shoot his first movie ever and post the same on Youtube to show the world how safe Egypt is and to invite the whole world to visit Egypt.

From the Pyramids, Kalilah, Kristoll and Ehab invite you all to visit Egypt..

This is just a very small part of what you will see in Egypt.

The IFMSA Exchange Program:
'IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students' Associations)' arranges the largest student exchange program in the world with more than 100 countries participating and available for clerkships. IFMSA represents 1.2 million medical students in 116 countries. Around 10,000 medical students each year participate in international medical student exchanges which run under two divisions:
1. SCOPE: Standing Committee on Professional Exchange
2. SCORE: Standing Committee on Research Exchange

Who can apply? Any medical student or house officer in their faculty of medicine can apply to the Exchange Program.
The selection process: Every candidate should:
• Take a written exam.
• Take an oral interview..

Description of IFMSA-Egypt’s Exchange Candidate:
IFMSA-Egypt’s Exchange candidate is a student enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine in which his LC is active, having excellent spoken and written English language skills, aware of the IFMSA organization and its structure, open-minded with a very good level of general knowledge about Egypt and its culture, showing excellent communication skills, willing to meet with other cultures and keen on learning more both on the medical and social levels.

REQUIREMENTS of IFMSA-Egypt’s Exchange Candidate: · Student MUST be enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine in which his Local Committee is active.
· Student MUST have accepted written and spoken English skills. · Student MUST have accepted medical knowledge.
· Student MUST have accepted communication skills. · Student MUST be open minded and ready to meet with other cultures. · · Student MUST have a very good level of general knowledge and sufficient information about Egypt and Egyptian culture.
· It’s PREFERRED if the student is aware of the IFMSA structure or have a previous IFMSA involvement.
· It’s PREFERRED if the student has previous experience with any extracurricular or team work activities. · It’s PREFERRED if the student speaks a third language other than Arabic and English.
. Student must fill registration form before attending the selection process.

All you have to do is apply for the exchange program in your own Local Committee
