While in Cayo Coco, Cuba we had the chance to go on the Jeep with added speed boats tour with NexusTours. It was a great tour where you get to spend the day going on amazing adventures! We started the day on a speed boat and then a snorkel in the mangroves. Then on to the Jeep portion of the tour. We stopped at an amazing restaurant that had the yummies food! Our favourite food in Cuba. Then we drove up to the top of a mountain where we could climb up a lookout tower and see for miles around! Next we were off to a crocodile farm (my daughter's favourite part) where we got to hold baby crocodiles. Then we ended the day in Moron City. We had such a great time on this tour!

It was a great tour where you get to spend the day on a boat with a small group of people. You go to three different spots and get to snorkel and see tons of fish and coral. On Our Way To Moron Beach (Beautiful)

The word moron is not often used but means a hump or a mound in English. Enjoy the ride as we observe the many infrastructure changes over the past few years. The roads, the drain systems and there’s even a new Lifestyles Resort being built there. No doubt the area’s on the path of expansion. In fact it’s my observance that the whole country is. Hope you’re all enjoying the ride. Personally I was shocked by the natural beauty of this semi hidden gem. Actually by the entire area as it has changed so much. Over March Break this year Joseph and I visited Cayo Coco Cuba for one week. We had a really great time at the Iberostar Mojito, and I realized upon returning home that I had actually stayed at the resort 14 years ago when it was called El Senador. We had lovely weather overall, around 24 degrees and a bit windy/cloudy some days. It was Joseph's first time in the Caribbean and we did lots of fun activities both on and off the resort.

Trailblazing The Hidden Backcountry Of Cuba
In this first episode of the Cayos of Cuba series, Troy Peckham and Rodrigo Basurto Garcia team up with beautiful new guest host, Liz Rosa. To kick off their adventures, Ro takes his friends to visit Jatibonico River, which is believed by Cubans to be a natural aphrodisiac for anyone who swims in its waters. Coincidence Ro chose this for Liz' first activity? We think not.
Jatibonico river is laid out in a way that lets you swim for about 500 metres or so to a cave and is located in El Boquerón, near La Florencia. It is about a 2 hour drive from Cayo Guillermo.
