Taipalsaari is a municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Southern Finland and is part of the South Karelia region. The municipality has a population of 4,744 and covers an area of 761.94 square kilometres of which 416.88 km2 is water. The population density is 13.75 inhabitants per square kilometre . Neighbouring municipalities are Lappeenranta, Lemi, Puumala, Ruokolahti and Savitaipale. The municipality is unilingually Finnish.

1. Saimaa Canal Lappeenranta
Saimaa is a lake in southeastern Finland. At approximately 4,400 square kilometres , it is the largest lake in Finland, and the fourth largest natural freshwater lake in Europe. It was formed by glacial melting at the end of the Ice Age. Major towns on the lakeshore include Lappeenranta, Imatra, Savonlinna, Mikkeli, Varkaus, and Joensuu. The Vuoksi River flows from Saimaa to Lake Ladoga. Most of the lake is spotted with islands, and narrow canals divide the lake in many parts, each having their own names . Thus, Saimaa exhibits all major types of lake in Finland at different levels of eutropification. HOW TO GET THERE?
It is close to the Sibelius Monument. This is on the West side.
Bus number 195 starts at the Kamppi Center west side, outside the building. Check out the bus sign that you are in the right bus stop. You propably have to ask the driver to tell you are going to the Sibelius Monument (Cafe Regatta is not well known) and when it is bet time to step out the buss. Finally you have to walk about 400 meter and you are there.

Trip to Linnanmäki Amusement park in Helsinki (August 2016)

I finally finished my movie about our trip to Linnanmäki Amusement Park in Helsinki, Finland. We went there on the 27th of August, 2016 and it was a blast! The weather was also quite nice, both in Tallinn and in Helsinki.

The pictures, videos (filmed in 4K quality) and also the movie itself was created on a smartphone, so no PC was used in the making of this movie. I used the Apple iMovie app to put the whole thing together.
