My wife and I went on a trip to Mendocino, California and found the fictional home of Jessica Fletcher ( Angela Lansbury ) from Murder, She Wrote, which ran from 1984 -1996 ( Cabot Cove, Maine ) Some of the outside filming was done in Mendocino, CA .
