Episode 4; 2017 Moorea Swim with Sharks, Rays, ATV 4 Wheeler Tour (Full Length / Unedited)

Moorea was our second cruise port on our South Pacific cruise portion through French Polynesia on Holland America's Maasdam. We anchored in one of Moorea's Northern bays or small inlets, and tendered ashore. We then took a private catamaran to Coco Island, a tiny uninhabited island just offshore from the main island of Moorea, in its emerald lagoon. We then took another small catamaran just a short distance into the lagoon, where we swam with black tip sharks and giant sting rays. Once back onshore, we then went on an ATV tour on four wheelers, through farms, across giant pineapple fields, across streams and river beds, and up to the top of one of Moorea's highest peaks. We then stopped by a meadow where 'Mutiny on the Bounty' was filmed. We also toured a jam / jelly farm. Finally, we took our ATV's to the top of Magic Mountain, with gorgeous views of Moorea's lagoon below. Noah Dorgan (age 10) and Nicholas Dorgan (age 6). Full Length Video / Unedited.

The Three Coconuts Hike on Moorea

In May 2005 Stacy and I journeyed on a well kept trail from the Belvedere vista point on Moorea to the Three Coconuts, a three mile trail to the top of the pass south of Cook's bay. Two of the coconut trees on the pass are no more, having fallen years ago. It took about six hours up and back to Belvedere, but it was well worth the effort. The trail head is on your right when facing the Moorea shaped Belvedere sign. On top of the hill it's very windy, and you have a wonderful view of Afareaitu, and both sides of the island. Magnificent!, as Muk would say.
