Kyoto Festival: Celebration for Oda Nobunaga (Funaoka Taisai)

Funaoka Taisai is the annual festival for Kenkun Shrine where famous warlord Oda Nobunaga is enshrined.
Accompanied by ancient court music, the priests present offerings of food and drink before the altar.
As everyone shows their respect, the head priest reads aloud prayers in the inner shrine.
Part of the play Atsumori, said to be a favorite of Nobunaga, was performed as a ritual offering by the Kongo school of noh.
A bugaku (traditional court dance) called Konju was then performed.
Honored guests took turns presenting sacred tamagushi before the shrine.
To conclude the ritual, falconers of the Suwa style demonstrated hawking techniques, a sport once enjoyed by Nobunaga.

Tokyo Narita Airport workout (Calisthenics on the go)

After a 24 hour trip in Osaka Japan, I found a little time to get a quick bodyweight workout in at Tokyo Narita International Airport before my flight back to Hawaii. I had no time while I was in Osaka to train and wanted to head back to Hawaii with some good workout momentum. This airport workout took me 40 minutes.
This workout also helped me get some deep sleep on my way home. That helped with my sleep transition when I got back to the island.

5 sets of 20 push ups
4 sets of 20 air squats
4 sets 15 dips
4 sets of 25 knee to chest bench crunches
4 sets of 30 lifted scissor and flutter kicks
4 sets of 20 rear leg raised lunges
