Old town ( Native Okinawa village and Omoro Arboretum ) is apart of the Ocean Expo park located in Motobu, Okinawa.
The “Native Okinawan Village” is a reproduction of the villages of Okinawa in the Ryukyu Kingdom period (especially around 17th to 19th century). Private houses and elevated granaries are reproduced within a traditional form of village that consists of sacred sites (Utaki), water wells (Ugamigah) and Kami-asagi.

Retour au NORD DU JAPON (Flashback #2)
Pour ce Flashback, je suis retourné au Nord de l'île principale du Japon, à Akita et sur la péninsule d'Oga, deux endroits où j'avais vécu de superbes moments lors de mon aventure l'année dernière avec Lolo Caccia.

Yamanakako Flower Park, Japan | Mount Fuji, near Lake Yamanaka, Yamanashi
Yamanakako Hana No Miyako, Japanese Flower Park & Tulip Fields near Mount Fuji
In May 2018 we visited Yamanakako Hana No Miyako Flower Park (sometimes also spelled Yamanakako Hananomiyako, or Yamanakako Hanano Miyako Koen or kouen, or in Japanese 山中湖 花の都公園).
It's a garden park exhibiting gardens and flower fields very close to Mount Fuji so that you get a top photography spot to shoot on a backdrop of Mt Fuji (aka Fujisan) in the background, with a foreground of gorgeous a beautiful multicolored flower field.
The flowers in the field vary at different times of the year, in different months. When we were there in May it was a colorful field of tulips (pink, yellow and purple flowers), but at other times of the year they have a sunflower field, poppy field filled with orange, pink or red poppies, or cosmos flowers.
Tulip: Mid-April to Mid-May
Annual Baby’s-breath: Mid-June to Mid-July
Poppy: Early to Mid-July
Sunflower: Mid to End-August
Cosmos: Late July to early October

Bangkok: Expectations vs Reality
Many people are envious of my location here in Bangkok, Thailand, so I made a vlog about what my neighbourhood is like. Watch it and see if it matches your expectations.
When people think of Bangkok, they usually imagine golden Buddha statues and stupas in tranquil temples, a never-ending skyline of high risers, and the much advertised skytrain, aka the BTS.
But, when I look out of the window from the fifth floor of my apartment building, I see no temples and the highest building in the neighbourhood is the one I’m living in. As for the skytrain, it’s a good 40 minutes away by the fastest means of transportation!

Japan Rail Trip #20: Fish markets in Aomori 青森の鮮魚市場とレインボーブリッジ

We spent the morning wandering two of the Fish markets in Aomori. One is 'Furukawa' market (Furukawa Ichiba), the other one is near the station called 'Auga' market (Auga Shinsen Ichiba).
They are very popular to go for breakfast or lunch but do tend to be closed by 6pm.
At Furukawa market, there is 'Nokke-don'. You can choose any pieces of fish slices and put on the rice (also without rice is possible). We already had breakfast at hotel, but if we didn't we would have wished to have one.
There was even a section at the market where you could be taught on how to prepare your fish.
Auga market was in the basement of a shopping centre but it was a huge area much larger than Furukawa market. There were plenty of restaurants to select breakfast from and Furukawa market has a large selection of seafood.
There was a big bridge called Rainbow bridge. It was fun to see it and walked around there. The view of the harbour was also nice.
If you get the chance this is a recommended place to go to get a good view of Aomori centre and harbour.
After spending the morning visiting Aomori markets it was time to catch the train to Hakodate.
ナイジとジュンは青森の鮮魚市場の見学を楽しみました。駅近くに、古川市場とアウガ新鮮市場の２つあります。
古川市場では「のっけ丼」というのがあり、好きなネタを好きなだけ選んで乗せて食べることができます。チケット制で、５枚ないし１０枚セットを買えます。だいたい１チケットで１ネタが相場です。ご飯は別で買って、そこに乗せて食べます。
私たちはすでにホテルで朝食を取ってしまったため、のっけ丼を食べることができませんでしたが、お腹が空いていたらぜひ試したかったです。
そして駅近くにあるレインボーブリッジの辺りを歩き、橋の上に登りました。橋からの港の風景も良かったです。
