My Iraq Vacation

From 2003 to 2004, I was deployed with D Troop, 1/14 Cavalry, 3rd Brigade 2nd Infantry Division in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom II. My job was to operate the Shadow 200 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (a remote controlled spy plane). I spent a few minutes a night for about 2 weeks picking out the right pictures and music for this video. Anyone who sent me any sort of letter, candy, or simple encouragement got a copy of this in the mail as a thanks. It was rough and all the love was much appreciated.

The Vacation title is meant to be as sarcasm due to the little things. We went running when it was coolest at 2AM because it got down to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. There were some good times, and some bad times, but overall I wouldn't trade the experiences and friends for the world.

Wadi Al-Salaam (Arabic وادي السلام; Valley of Peace) is an Islamic cemetery, located in the Shia holy city of Najaf, Iraq. It is the largest cemetery in the world.
