Cairo/ Giza: Local transport | Hotels | offline Maps | Tourist Hassles in Egypt (2018)
After arriving from Alexandria, I took a bus to Giza Pyramids from a bus terminal inside the city of Giza. Thanks to the helpful people who guided me to the bus terminal. In the initial part of the video, you will see the mad traffic of Giza; you'll get a glimpse local transportation in Egypt. The bus I took to my hotel in Giza is called minibus. I have shared information about the Minibus fare in Cairo and Giza. The person sitting beside me also helped me to understand the mobile service providers in Egypt. So there is a mention of the best mobile network in Egypt.
The video will also show you the hotel rating scam which I went through. The people, in general, are helpful, but there were few incidents which lead to tourist's harassments. Such events make a tourist feel unsafe in Egypt. In the latter part of the video, you'll find hotels near Giza Pyramids. I stayed in one of them. I got a good view of the pyramids from its rooftop.

Best places for tourist attractions in Egypt
what do you know about Alexandria & Red sea Governorates ??
Qaitbay Citadel, Alexandria, Egypt - Egypt Tourism
Qaitbay Citadel, Alexandria, Egypt - Travel to Egypt and let Connolly Cove give you the right plans to follow.
There are different cities in Egypt, some are worth the visit and some could be placed later in the list. Alexandria, Egypt, is considered the largest city in Egypt coming directly after Cairo and this pretty much sums up why you should place it on your plan list.
There are different things to do in Alexandria, Egypt, which are divided between historical places to visit as well as those walks which you should go through the streets and by the sea; you will enjoy the good breeze, believe us.
Your next trip to Egypt should include visiting the city of Alexandria and getting the chance to see Qaitbay Citadel which will also give you the chance to enjoy a good view of the sea with a weather you have never witnessed before.
Being one of the historical places to visit in Egypt, we have to mention that Qaitbay Citadel of Alexandria is now in the same place where the lighthouse of Alexandria used to be but which was destroyed by several earthquakes that took the whole thing down after being one of the seven wonders of the world.
The history of Qaitbay Citadel is long since different characters helped in its existence; starting from building the citadel and ending with the renovations that were done to the whole place until the 20th century to become what we are seeing at this very moment.
The best thing about Qaitbay Citadel of Alexandria is that you will enjoy the idea of seeing the actual real place from where the archers stood in the old days in order to defend Alexandria. The structure of the whole place is actually what will take the breath away; you will have to pay attention to the inside as well as the ceiling of the whole area.
On the way to the citadel, within 2 minutes walk, there is an aquarium museum which carries different species and which will be mostly liked by the kids; will not take longer then 20 minutes in it, and just in front of the citadel entrance, there is another museum for fossilized creatures including the skeleton of a whale.
Planning a trip to this place should be on the list, but you should never spend more than a few hours there and pass by these other two museums in the same day in order not to keep coming back to the same area and lose time instead of seeing other parts and historical areas of Alexandria.
Qaitbay citadel Alexandria is placed in the most visible location of Alexandria city, making it an attraction for those who want to see the best out of this place.
Qaitbay citadel opening hours are from 8 AM till 5 PM everyday and that is the reason why it is always considered better to go in the evening where the weather will be always better and it won't be much crowded.
The plus point for those visiting Egypt from around the world is that the prices are considered low for them at this point and thus they could get the chance to visit different places and do several things without having a lot of money. Qaitbay citadel entrance fees for the Egyptians is about 15 EGP and a little bit more for the non-Egyptians which might reach now 35 EGP.
This 15th century defensive fortress is located in As Sayalah Sharq, Qesm Al Gomrok, Alexandria Governorate. You could spend the whole day walking inside and outside of this castle and you could even sit there where you will be considered sitting on the sea, but it is considered better to watch out and make sure you are not wasting the whole day sitting there.
There are different fish restaurants there where you could have a proper and delicious meal and enjoy the Egyptian way of cooking it. You could also rent a boat - and you could bargain about the price - but always make sure that life vests are there and make sure that you are feeling safe with that person who will be with you on the boat.
There are a lot of things to do in Alexandria and with the good weather of this city, you will definitely enjoy every single detail of your trip, you just have to take the needed precautions and make sure you are bargaining whenever needed in order not to get easily robbed - because that's how people manage to get things done there.
Qaitbay Citadel is among the old places to visit in Egypt which will get you out of Cairo and let you see something that is not related to the capital city.

Beautiful Places in Egypt
Cairo (Arabic, القاهرة Al-Qāhira 'the fort', 'the victorious') is the capital of Egypt and its governorate (muhafazah or province). It is the largest city in the Arab world, the Middle East and Africa, and the Egyptians often call it simply the name of the country, مصر, pronounced in Arabic Misr cult and Egyptian dialect Masr. Its metropolitan area includes an approximate population of about 16 million inhabitants, 3 making Cairo the eleventh most populous city in the world. It is also the most populated metropolitan area of the entire African continent.4 It is known by the Egyptians as the mother of all cities and the city of a thousand minarets. 5 It was founded in 116 a. C., in what today is known as Old Cairo, when the Romans rebuilt an old Persian fort by the River Nile. Before its foundation, Memphis or other cities were the capital of the pharaonic empire. The current name is due to the Fatimids, who baptized the city with the name, Al-Qahira. After several invasions as the Mamluks, Ottomans, Napoleon and the British, Cairo became sovereign capital in 1952.5 Cairo is located on the banks and islands of the Nile River, south of the delta. To the southwest lies the city of Giza and the ancient Necropolis of Memphis, with the Giza Plateau and its monumental pyramids, as the Great Pyramid. To the south is the place where the old city of Memphis was built. Located to 14 km of Heliópolis next to the Nile, the Romans established a fortress and the present city has its base in four successive constructions Muslim. Al-Fustat (The Camp, in Arabic: الفسطاط) also called Fustat and Misr al-Fustat, was the original nucleus and the first capital of Arab Egypt. It was built between the Roman fort and the river by General Amr ibn al-As immediately after the Arab conquest of Egypt in 641, fortifying it and building in it the Amr Mosque, the first erected in Egypt and Africa. It was the administrative center of Egypt from which the use of Arabic as administrative language and special taxes to Christians and Jews was imposed, until the city was burned by the vizier Shawar in 1168 to prevent that it fell into the hands of the crossed invaders. It is part of the so-called ancient Cairo. Cairo, Al-Qahira (قاهرة) 'The Triumphant', was founded by the Fatimid Yawhar al-Qaid in 972, north of the palaces and covering al-Askar and Al-Qatta'i, and there was built the mosque Of Al-Azhar, the first university in history. This city became the urban center over the years, although at the beginning of the Caliphate Fatimí Al-Fustat remained the capital.

The Sinai Peninsula or Sinai (Arabic: سيناء sīnā' ; Hebrew סיני) is a triangular peninsula in Egypt which is about 60,000 km2 (23,000 sq mi). It lies between the Mediterranean Sea to the north, and the Red Sea to the south, and is the only part of Egyptian territory located in Asia as opposed to Africa. In addition to its formal name, Egyptians also refer to it affectionately as the Land of Fayrouz, based on the Ancient Egyptian Dumafkat, which has the same meaning. The bulk of the peninsula is divided into two Egyptian governorates (with three more splitting the Suez Canal area), and has a population of approximately 1.3 million people.
EGYPT: EXPLORING CENTRAL CAIRO, what to see, top places to visit
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's walk around the central area of Cairo which is the capital and largest city of Egypt. The city's metropolitan area is the largest in the Middle East and the Arab world, and the 15th-largest in the world, and is associated with ancient Egypt, as the famous Giza pyramid complex and the ancient city of Memphis are located in its geographical area. Located near the Nile Delta, Cairo has a population of 6.76 million spread over 453 square kilometers (175 sq mi), Cairo is by far the largest city in Egypt. An additional 9.5 million inhabitants live in close proximity to the city. Cairo, like many other mega-cities, suffers from high levels of pollution and traffic, as you will see in this video.
