Alupka is a resort city located in the Crimean peninsula, currently subject to a territorial dispute between the Russian Federation and Ukraine . It is located 17 km to the west of Yalta. It is famous for the Vorontsov Palace, designed by English architect Edward Blore in an extravagant mixture of Scottish baronial and Neo-Moorish styles and built in 1828–1846 for prince Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov. Population: 7,771 .Alupka and its surrounding area is full of resort hotels on the shore of the Black Sea, where thousands of travelers travel every year. Public transport to Alupka includes the bus system and other road vehicles.

    The Vorontsov Palace or the Alupka Palace is an historic palace situated at the foot of the Crimean Mountains near the town of Alupka in Crimea. The Vorontsov Palace is one of the oldest and largest palaces in Crimea, and is one of the most popular tourist attractions on Crimea's southern coast.The palace was built between 1828 and 1848 for Russian Prince Mikhail Semyonovich Vorontsov for use as his personal summer residence at a cost of 9 million silver rubles. It was designed in a loose interpretation of the English Renaissance revival style by English architect Edward Blore and his assistant William Hunt.
