Amendolara is a town and comune in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region of southern Italy. It has a population of approximately 2,976 people . Its territory covers 64 km² and it is 100 km from the provincial capital of Cosenza. The city is at an altitude of 200 meters above sea level and overlooks the Ionian Sea. Mario Melfi was the mayor of the city from 2001 to 16 May 2011. The new mayor elected is Antonello Ciminelli.
