We found the Rofflaschlucht on our way back from Italy. It is a fantastic canyon in the swiss alps. A beautiful mountain stream with several breathtaking waterfalls.
We were so lucky to find this hidden gem. We left the highway to take a lunch break and somehow – just by following the sound of the waterfalls – landed at this magical place.
The crystal clear water changes its colour from bright blue to green to white on its way down the mountains. It is so cold, but we decided to swim anyway.
The Rofflaschlucht is located between Andeer-Bärenburg and Sufers in the Canton Graubünden in Switzerland.

Hiking in Switzerland: Tamina Gorge vlog- Alex Kinok

We are back in the Swiss mountains. After seeing the Gorges de l'Ardeche and Gorges du Verdon in Provence, France, we decided to explore some Swiss gorge. This time we hiked along the Tamina Gorge. We started from Bad Ragaz, walked to Bad Pfäfers, entered the Tamina Groge and then hiked up to the town Pfäfers. It is absolutely a beautiful hike.
Bad Pfäfers, the natural mineral springs, were discovered accidentally in 1240. The water has a temperature of 36.5 degrees Celsius. The old house of Bad Pfäfers leads to the narrow Tamina Gorge with 70-meter-high rock faces. We walked along the path through the interior of the rock and saw the thermal spring up to the grotto. The gorge is definitely worth seeing! It is a different type of scenery from the Swiss alps.
There is also a light show called Light Ragaz every evening in the summer. I found a youtube video. It looks amazing and reminds me of the light show of the cathedral I saw in Strasbourg, France.
