Anini-y, officially the Municipality of Anini-y, , is a 4th class municipality in the province of Antique, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 21,201 people.During the Spanish Era, Anini-y was already an independent town with a Baroque church located on the heart of its town proper. Sometime during the American Period, Anini-y was integrated to the Municipality of Tobias Fornier . Somewhere in the year 1940's, the town of Anini-y became independent from the Municipality of Tobias Fornier and Mayor Obaga became the first mayor. Exploring Anini-y Area, Antique Philippines!

As the fun continues down the road/trail exploring the hills and valleys of Antique Philippines. Leaving the Tobias Fornier area into Anini-y.

Each of us only spent PHP500 ($10!!!) for our trip to Nogas Island, Anini-y Antique!!!

This is actually one of those impromptu trips because we just planned this yesterday! We went to Nogas, Island and spent more or less PHP500 ONLY for our vacation! Quite cheap if you ask me. :)

Scuba Diving in Nogas Island, Anini-y, Antique, Philippines with The Dive House

Ever since I decided to target 20 dive locations by December 2020, I've been plotting out my list of places to visit. Antique was never on that list and was not even on my radar.

When my friend Seleena asked me if I wanted to go diving in Nogas Island in March, my first reaction was where?! I didn't even know where it was and had to do a bit of Googling. I've always liked going to places where there isn't much tourists so I was like, Game! let's do this!

Nogas Island is located in Anini-y in Antique. From Manila, we took a plane to Iloilo and from Iloilo took a van to The Dive House in Anini-y. There are no other dive shops in that side of town so we pretty much had the entire underwater world to ourselves! Yay!

The Dive House is a family-owned resort so you can expect to be treated like family. I was only suppose to do 3 dives but because I enjoyed so much, I ended up changing my plans. I decided to stay another night and doing more dives! :) I won't be surprised if I find myself back to this island soon!
