Walkers Rocks Campground, SA
Beautiful beach front campground on the Eyre Peninsula, only 11km north of Elliston. $10/vehicle. Bins, toilet, and cold shower provided.
A sheltered section of coastline that's perfect for swimming (even for little ones) and quiet beaches to walk in both directions.
For self-sufficient campers, there is plenty of room other than the few spots near the amenities - head left before main area for a heap more space. Track is a little rocky so best to get out of the car and explore first.
Keep your campsite clean and keep food protected to avoid any trouble from mice.

Stunning! Yorke Peninsula, South Australia
Yorke Peninsula, South Australia
Located on Adelaide doorstep, Yorke Peninsula offers breathtaking scenery, crowd-free beaches, picturesque townships, outdoor adventure and loads of barefoot fun.
Driving about 1,5 hours from Adelaide to Adrossan. One of my fav place to escape on the week end.
Waterloo Bay Tourist Park
Brooke Hanson from Discover Downunder finds a Top Tourist Park just a few metres from the beach in Elliston. The Waterloo Bay Tourist Park has views like you wouldn't believe and Michael Slape and Maryann Van Dyk who run the facilities are thrilled to showcase their pocket of paradise to Brooke.
Once you arrive you can walk into town, check out the local bakery, pub and supermarket, everything you need is right on your doorstep. The park has 37 powered sites, 7 unpowered sites and 24 cabins with ocean views.
Yorke Peninsula S.A.
The Yorke Peninsula is a peninsula located north-west and west of Adelaide in South Australia, Australia, between Spencer Gulf on the west and Gulf St Vincent on the east. The peninsula is separated from Kangaroo Island to the south by Investigator Strait. The most populous town in the region is Kadina.
Yorke Peninsula was named by Captain Matthew Flinders, R.N., after the Right Honourable Charles Philip Yorke (1764–1834) (later Lord Hardwicke), narrowly beating French navigator Captain Nicolas Baudin (who preferred the name 'Cambaceres Peninsula').
Before white settlement around 1840, Yorke Peninsula was the home to the Narungga people. Today the descendants of these people still live on Yorke Peninsula, supported by the Narungga Aboriginal Progress Association in Maitland, and in the community at Point Pearce.
Principal towns include the Copper Coast towns of Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo; farming centres of Maitland, Minlaton and Yorketown; and the port of Ardrossan. A number of smaller coastal towns are popular destinations for fishing and holidays, particularly from Adelaide. The south-western tip is occupied by Innes National Park.
