    Troon is a populated place in North Scottsdale, Arizona. At 2,400 feet elevation, temperatures are cooler in this enclave than throughout much of the rest of Phoenix, Arizona. Part of Troon Village is the Troon North Golf Club, which contains 1,400 acres of developed land and has been in operation since 1986. Designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf, the facility contains two courses, the Monument and the Pinnacle, each consisting of five tee markers which allow the course lengths to vary from 5,167 to 7,041 yards.
