ARROMANCHES LES BAINS 74 ans après le D'day
74 ans apres le D'day - ARROMANCHES LES BAINS
This beautiful seaside resort has become the time of a past still close in our hearts during the last world conflict, the place of the great landings of equipment and men after June 14, 1944 and having withstood the elements during the storm of 19 to 21 June 1944, thanks to which Europe thus had a first artificial harbor in deep water very quickly; With among others: the Phoenix caisson, the kilometers of rades, jetties, pontoons reported from England; to supply the allied forces as well.
The village of Arromanches has now become a seaside resort again, leaving the vestiges of the past as a legacy to tourists and people who also come to pay homage to the men and women who have paid the most expensive price, the freedom of our old continents.

Landsailing Bonaire
Here's a short video (and some still photos) that chronicle our visit to Landsailing Bonaire on January 7, 2010. The shaky nature of the footage I shot while driving illustrates the rough nature of the track surface (think gravel road), while the strong wind noise is due to the strong offshore breeze and to the speed of the blokart itself. (Filmed with the shockrproof Canon D10 digital camera, and produced with CyberLink PowerDirector 8.)
Adrenaline Rush Landsailing
Adrenaline Rush Landsailing
Land sailing, also known as sand yachting or land yachting, is the act of moving across land in a wheeled vehicle powered by wind through the use of a sail.
Adrenaline Rush landsailing is a truly unique experience..................
Landsailing or dirtboating is guaranteed to be like nothing you have ever experienced before.
Its the most fun you can ever have on 3 or 2 wheels.
Being strapped into a landsailer is an awesome feeling and harnessing the power of nothing but the wind will really get your adrenaline going.
And all of this at certain angles more than 5x the speed of the prevailing wind.
Adrenaline Rush Landsailing offers you the chance to experience the thrill of land sailing. Within 30 minutes you will also bare the legendary ADRENALINE RUSH SMILE that so many have worn no matter if you are 8 - 98 years old.
If you have a couple of friends then get them together and come and have a go, most of our groups are between 4-10 people and together you will share the thrill and adrenaline of land sailing and take away with you a never ending memory of how much fun the wind alone can offer.
What Our Sessions Include:
We will explain basic sailing theory, safety and kart handling skills, and have you cruising around in no time. While you are taking your first steps in the landsailer we will be right there by your side, coaching you as you go. For children or teenagers, we will often ride along (standing on the rear axle) for the first few laps, making sure that they are fully comfortable.
This short 20 minute lesson is an essential part of your landsailing experience if you are hiring with us for the first time.
Safety is paramount for us - our experienced instructors have first aid certificates and equipment, and all students are fitted with protective gloves. Knee and elbow pads and helmets.
Everyone is fully insured whilst participating.
Additional Useful Information:
We recommend you wear warm waterproof clothing and footwear in winter and loose fitting clothing and closed shoes in summer but don't forget to bring a long sleeve top.
Additional hours on any package are charged at $50 per hour, per person.
Participants must be over 8 years old to sail a landsailer unaccompanied.
After a few minutes you will be able to manoeuvre the landsailer by yourself and will find yourself chasing the wind around the site with a smile all over your face !!!
